    Incorperating Corsets

Okay, so I really would like to incorperate a corset into my routine as I'm very into the romantic/goth scene everyday. Any ideas on finding one that's easier to get in and out of? Or anyone have tips if they've worked with one in thier show.

    Thanks so much!

    maybe a waist clincer.

I may have many faults, but being wrong ain't one of them.

A waist cincher would be your best bet, or a corset that zips in the front. Unless the corset is flexible, you won't be able to do the snakelip hip undulations associated with stripping.

A real boned corset is a bitch to dance in!!! (hard to work your hips and midsection) maybee try a softer type corset w/ a zip or front clips for easy removal.

Even if you work in one of the few clubs that just does stage dancing and not private dances, dancer clothing still needs to be easy to get in and out of.

If you do insist on wearing a corset still, the best bet would be to get one that zips in the front, even though I'll be the first to admit they don't look as good as the hook & eye variety.

I have one I wear at work sometimes that has the hooks in the front and is laced in the back and it's not that bad to take on and off. And it's not restricting because I don't wear it very tight. I wear the corset with thigh-highs and long gloves and it gets me a lot of attention, and cash.

I took mine to a seamstress and had her take out the hooks and put in velcro. It cost me about $30 but I think it will pay itself off!!

Actually mine used to pop off, but only if I was bloated. If I would sit down or move a certain way ... bam! It would pop open. But now I don't have that problem since the lipo! In fact, my favorite favorite favorite corset is tooo big and my boobs fall out of it. No matter how much I tighten the back it is too big!!! Siiiiigggghhhh....

But anyways, the velcro really does work.

if you want to incorporate corsets into your routine, you can get one that zips up in the front. otherwise, you don't have to take it off on stage at all. you could just do the dance, and maybe pull it down in front a little.
