Lightbulb how to be a star!!!!

hi everyone! i have a couple of questions...i'm a noobie looking to go back really soon (i danced at a couple of clubs but only for a couple days at each)and i'm really wanting to make a name for myself!! i'm hoping to be a feature dancer someday soon and i was wondering if anyone had any advice on getting your name out there.. standing out from the other girls, making top dollar, avoiding that "not wanting to go back" feeling i seem to get so often,(i think it's because of my depression, but i'm working on that) i'm really excited about going back and i really want it to work out great this time. i've been checking out this site and it's so great! there"s so much info! most of my questions have been answered just by searches, but i was wondering if anyone had any advice for a nervous newbie who has a tendency to quit things if they become uncomfortable.(i don't know why, i just get really anxious about continuing and i can't bring myself to go back.. it's just something i need to work on within myself...)also, i live in central (east) ohio and i was wondering if anyone knew any clubs that would be good to start in... i was thinking centrfolds, by the airport, or sirens. i'd really like to try kahoots, but i hear you have to be drop dead gorgeous to get hired there and no tattoos.. i have a couple...
i want to be a STAR!!! tell me how!!!!
ps. if i sound a bit less than thrilled in this post it's because this is the second time i've written it no thanks to my crappy comp. and the first one sounded a lot better and had better questions, but i can't remember them all... oh well, i'll think of them again and post them here...thank you all in adavance!!
also ps.. i noticed a lot of girls have pretty glittery signatures... how do you do that?

i was just thinking"what if nobody replies to my post!!! " everybody will think "wow! how to be a star! i think i'll read it!" but then there's nothing there! so i thought i'd post my findings form this website on how to be #1 as well as some other stuff i researched. this is actually a cheat sheet i printed out for myself to take in when i went back.........oh the typing...

    how to be the best:
$set your goals for the night, hour, and week.
$be clear, concised and focused on your tasks and objectives.
    $work your plan.
$control the little voice in your head before it controls you! $ have an undying will to win.
$ have an edge on the other girls.
$you have to spend money to make money.
$ be an agressive moneymaker in working to acheive your nightly and hourly goals.
$ set your goals high, if you don't aim high, you will never get the money you should be making.
$ have a good attitude- if you didn't reach your goal tonight, there is still next time,a nd you will probably make even more then!
    $ set yourself apart.
$ have a continuos positive attitude.
$ have a distinctive style, stamina, flexibility and cool tricks,a nd a personality that changes with each customer.
$ know the basics: have a fit body *invest in nice outfits and your appearance * always smile * be adaptable *be observant *keep your goals for the night * stay in contact with good customers via email * study the top girls at your club *
$ have fun and talk to everyone
$don't sell yourself short. if a custy is not tipping, then move on, there are plenty of others that will.
$you are selling a fantasy.remember that it is your job to make customers feel good about themselves. flirt, talk , laugh at their jokes, smile , be interested in them and customers will seek you out. learning to make the customer feel special is a skill.
$if a custy turns you down, smile, thank them anyway and smile up to the next guy.
$ never approach a custy from behind.
$ read your customers- tailor your approach to each customer by reading what they will be like through a small bit of interaction, showing you what could work on that cust.
if my computer erases this before i'm done i will destroy it.
$make good eye contact an have a smile that lights up the room.
$ it's a job, not a social experience. we are not here to hang out.hustle hustle!!
$ never burn a potential bridge.
$ target guys who are drinking water, dressed down, or have good manicures.
    (there's more i'm sure)
$ stay away from: young guys, good looking guys, gangata types, men with women, indian men.
$never say you are better than any of the other girls.
$CONFIDENCE!!!! love yourself! focus on what you think of yourself, if you think of yourself in a positive light, other people will too! customers want a agirl who knows she is beautiful, yet is not arrogant about it.

    Whew!!
if anyone has anything to add to this feel free! again, these are not all my words, and most is but a smidgeon of the info i found on this site, other stuff is from my experience and from some research i did. i have good replies to stupid guys and sales tips and conversation starters and alternate options to "wanna dance?" if anyone's interested...
now quickly! i must post this before Retardo the Computer erases it all!!!

    and here's some sales tips:
(i don't know how many of them you could really apply to stripping though..maybe someone can use them..i know a couple really clicked on the proverbial light bulb for me.. )
$ for a good salesperson, price should not be an obstacle.
$present to the customer the benefits he will gain from what you offer
$track the reasons for every sale you lose.
    $TELL them it's what they want/need
$choose some benfit that justifies the price to that particular customer
$let them know why you are worth it, what you can offer that others can't, why turning you down would be a huge mistake!
$discover buying motives and become what he is looking for
$when approaching a sitting customer, stoop to eye level so you are not towering above him. (some people feel more comfortable talking to you if you are at eye level.)
    $KEEP THAT SHIT-EATING GRIN

Again, i;m not exactly Amazo the salesperson, so if anyone has more and/or better advice, please feel free to post the heck out of it! this is just what i got out of my sales research...

A few other tips... on the very serious side

    1. You can make a bunch of money at this biz if you keep yourself in good shape, smile a LOT, and have a great personality. Dance at the absolute best club you can find, and remember it's a JOB!

    2. If you'd like to be a headliner, you're going to need to do something else on top of dancing. A LOT of girls also do videos or do magazines to boost their dancing career. Doing internet stuff (like web cam or such) is for the birds, a lot of the the video headliners also have a web site to promote themselves. Just doing a web site to promote your stripping biz may or may not be a good idea, depending on where you are. (Big city, prolly yes. Small town, prolly no.) Any body else have any thoughts on this?

    3. Try to work you way UP the food chain of clubs. If you're in a small town, head for Los Angeles or New York for a brief stint, even though you might not save much money while there, and then head back to the smaller town. You can suddenly become a headliner in the small town as "Dakota -- fresh from appearing in Los Angeles!"

    4. Keep yourself in great shape. Your bod is your toolbox. Dancing is great exercise, but be CAREFUL what you eat. Cut down on the smoking.

    5. Save a bunch of money. It improves the hell out of your attitude to know that you can look a manager in the eye and say "Fuck you" any time you want, and walk out, without missing a rent payment.

    6. Avoid at all costs getting a worthless boyfriend. Date guys who make more money than you. Yes, it's possible. Quit trying to cure ANYONE. People don't want to be cured. If you feel the need, go volunteer at a food bank one day a week, but DON'T, under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, get a boyfriend who suddenly thinks that being you "manager" is his full-time gig. It's hard to dance while carrying a man on your back.

    7. Get ONE GOOD FRIEND (at least!) in your club who will watch your back. Go out of your way to be her friend. She will save your ass somewhere along the line.

    8. Tip extra on really good nights, but DON'T let any of the other girls see you do that.

    9. The first moment that the manager even HINTS that a blowjob would help your career, there should be a loud CRACK as the air collapses in on the spot where your body used to be.

    10. If you decide to go the video or magazine route, be careful who you hook up with. It's a completely different world in the San Fernando Valley, but a hugely lucrative one IF YOU'RE CAREFUL. Also, dropping in on that world once a year or so can send your stripping career soring -- you can suddenly headline all over the country. However, you have to manage that aspect of your career VERY carefully.

Wow Susan, I've been dancing for about 5-6 years and your advice helped me. I totally agree, your body is your toolbox. I've seen so many girls just gain weight over the years and they don't understand why they don't make as much money as they used to. The blowjob thing, I just found out that goes on at my club with the owner. No one's ever asked me but I always wondered why the girls were getting their jobs back for spending time in the office. I'm so naive sometimes.

Excellent advice! It could help me to keep much of this in mind as well...
