    Default Body bakery?

Has anyone ordered from this company? They have bath and body products that smell like something you would get from a bakery. They are actually pretty good if you like sweet scents which I love. I ordered crem brulle, wedding cake, creamy frosting, cokkie dough and waffles. I loved the crem brulle. I wore it last night and customers kept asking what I was wearing. If anyone else has ordered from here Id like to hear which scents you like. Since they have no testers and its 5.00 each 1 oz of lotion, you could waste alot if you didnt like them.

I know this thread is like eons old but I had to reply because I had a recent experience with this company. I had bought their cream and body spray back in 2004 both in Wedding Cake and I was very VERY disappointed with both products to the point that I threw them out. The the cream was messy and almost sticky and the body spray was a very fine mist that evaporated quickly. The smell was a very fake plastic vanilla. There was no element in the smell that had any natural fragrance at all. And from what I remember the smell was pretty light.

Fast foward to a week ago, I was looking online for a new scent as I'm getting back into dancing and I came across a review on here about body bakery and decided to give them a try again. I ordered 2 small sizes of Cinnamon Buns and Cake Batter Mix as well as the fragrance tarts in Jelly Donut. The creams were $5 a piece and the tart was $6, shipping was $6.99 flat rate. As cute as the packaging is and as quickly as it was shipped, I was once again very disappointed. The cream is a basic body butter, not very heavy and leaves a smooth finish, a tad greasy on hands and on normal skin I would think too oily to wear before work. Cinnamon Buns starts as a very harsh chemical smelling cinnamon that's really not pleasant. When it dries down it loses all cinnamon smell and reeks of overly processed sugary maple syrup. I gagged and washed it off after 5 minutes. The Cake Batter Mix was no better, once again it had a very plastic vanilla smell and you could smell the chemical nature of the fragrance. Two of my friends smelled it and turned up their noses. 4 hours after wearing it it still has some smell to it, a very ight and cheap smelling artificial vanilla. As for the Jelly Donut tart, not only did the fragrance only last for about 25 minutes, but it was a terrible artificial smell of strawberry jam and 99 cent lip gloss. I also received a free cream sample of Freshly Baked Bread which was actually spot on, problem is I have ZERO interest in smelling like bread, if I did I would sit inside Subway for 10 minutes.

I personally cannot justify spending any more money on these products. Sure, I'd love to find a smell I adored and could wear all the time, but with 50 different scents @ $5 bucks a pop, I could be spending a lot of cash and having a lot of un-used cream. One top of that, for a full sized cream it's $16, it's regular body butter with artificial smelling oils mixed in...that's pretty ridiculous, plus the $7 shipping....No thanks. I rather just go to the Body Shop and buy their coconut body butter for $10 and be happy with my scent. Furthermore, they have a NO RETURN policy. I honestly wish I could recommend this stuff but for someone with limited finances and who is picky about smells, it's like setting money on fire.

That's why I said I went through tons of scents to find the right one, which was marshmallow fluff for me amnd there are plenty of girls who have traveled with me from here and was like what the hell is that. it smells exactly like sweet marshmallow. it's my signature scent and guys and girls love it. They have a few other good ones too, creme brule, sugar cookie and cake batter. Waffle cone sucks. When you're wearing- searcing for foody scents you have to go through alot to find that gem. It took me around 40 samples from 4 companies but I LOVE marshmallow fluff! Guys will get all their friends to smell me.
