Default clueless newb thinking about DJing

Here's the deal, I'm about to graduate from college with a mostly useless art degree and and really don't have alot of prospects in my field. So, I was thinking about trying my hand at DJing becasue it seams to pay OK, certainly better than I make now, and its seams like a pretty laid back environment, but I don't have any experience at all.

My personal tastes are mostly metal, punk, alt, hard and classic rock, so I don't really know anything about R&B, hip hop, or techno.

There are a couple of clubs that I've spent some time in. At one in particular, alot of the girls know me by name, but I haven't really talked to the staff much. I don't know if that would hurt me, and that they would just think I was just another pervert looking for an excuse to hang out with naked girls.

These are all smaller clubs and I'm not sure if I would need to bring my own music, and if so, how much or what type I'd be expected to bring.

I'd appreciate any advice, tips, and info on what to expect that you guys could give me.

Of course they're going to think you're just some perv coming in to stare at beautiful naked girls - all SC djs are!

If the girls bring their own music, just be sure not to f*ck up the songs she chose and to cut them as she pleases, not you. Don't drink too much and save the drugs for later. And the more compliments you give each girl while they're onstage, the better your tips will be. Nothing lewd, just something like "Hey, Gorgeous, you did awesome" as she walks off. Every girl wants her ego stroked, since it will make them more dough.

And yeah, that useless art degree is pretty typical of a SC staff, lol. If you can, use your ATF to get some leverage w/ the staff. And then understand you absolutely may not date her.
...and the day came, when the risk it took to remain closed in a bud became worse than the risk it took to blossom.
