    Exclamation professional technique

Okay so tomorrow I start dancing. I'm totally for it and I'm over any nervousness I had about how I look BUT I really want to dance. I don't want to just walk around. It's a small club in a small redneck town and most of the strippers I saw when I went to check the place out were just shaking their ass. I'm flat broke and I just need a few pointers. I've briefly looked over the forums and have yet to find anything specifically laying out moves. I really want to give this 100%. Please help me out.

a lot of people will suggest to watch the other dancers. that is definitely the best way.. there are a few moves that are pretty much standard in a sexy dance, don't forget to do these really slow for the best affect..

    1. the body roll,(looks good leaning against a wall too!)

    2. the sexy squat (as you reach the bottom of the squat you can spread your legs and put them back together, carressing your inner thighs and legs)if there's a pole on your stage, you can do some sexy squats with the pole between your legs, carressing the pole like it was somebody's leg or something..

    3. don't forget floor work! don't be afraid to lay on the floor,(you can do legs in the air and just move them by crossing and uncrossing them, or if you can do the splits, thats cool too. do what feels sexy to you.

    4. keep your hands moving all over your body and when you get to the parts you think are sexiest, pick out a custy in the crowd and make eye contact, make them think you are thinking of them when you touch.

sorry it sounds kinda raunchy, but these are the moves i use and see a lot of girls use a lot. without the skill of the pole anyways...if i think of anything else i will post it cuz i know there's a ton of other moves i jsut can't think tonight..

    Not raunchy! Great advice!

Just dance sloooooooooow!! Give everyone eye contact and a smile!! Make them feel special when they tip you, just for that moment, and you will sell lapdances later on!

Use the pole for support, but don't grasp it the entire time like its keeping you from falling off the stage!

good luck veronica! i'm with you! just remembered, if you know any bellydance moves, those work great too! like figure 8's with your hips, shimmy's, a walking body roll, if you get one of those bellydance teaching dvd's, you can pick up some quick moves and they go through them step by step.. just an idea.

oh yeah.. an easy pole move i just remembered: wrap one leg around the pole, hold it with one arm and pretend to hump it like someone's leg.

How about the bend over: knees locked, slowly bow down from the waist and pick up a dollar.
Or the slow walk: walk slowly toward a custy crossing ankles each step swinging shoulders/chest.
Or the belly wave: arms behind holding body off the floor, legs out stretched or bent at knees holding you up, thrust hips up and down to wave your abs. Hope I described these okay.

I suggest putting on your sexiest outfit and shoes...put on some sexy music...and then stand in front of a mirror and watch yourself dance. That way you can get a feel as to how your body looks and what truly looks sensuous and sexy. The when you get to the club you can do the same moves...only instead of looking at the mirror.....look in the customers eyes.
