Smiley Just some of my questions.

    Evening everyone,

I'm not actually a stripper yet but I'm very interested in maybe becoming one. I've heard a lot of people suggesting to go into the clubs to see what it's like & I can only say I've been to one club so far. I was fascinated really & everything I've read online about it hasn't deterred me in the least so far. I have a great body, well, I will once I tone it up anyway. It's not bad now but the only pictures I could show you are posted on myspace.com & I'm not sure if I can post the link to my profile or not or if anyone here is a member or not (if I can will someone let me know?).

Anyway even though my body is in fairly good shape I don't have any tattoos but I do have some scars on my upper thighs right where my hips are from cutting myself during a fairly low period in my life. There are 7 lines on each leg but my question is if anyone has tried to cover up scars or if I should even worry about covering them up?

I'm going to do a lot more research before I think about auditioning but I thought I might as well get this question out of the way as I felt it was important.

You ought to be able to use makeup to cover the scars up. People do that with tattoos.
You might also try different clothes like a sarong cover up.
Cosmetic surgery might also help minimize them. You might look at them in black light.
The lighting in clubs is designed to render skin imperfections invisible or less visible.
(They call it the "ugly lights" when the regular lights come on after the club has closed up
for the night. Hopefully, by then all the customers are gone and the dancers are all in
the back lest we be seen for what we really look like in regular lighting.)

I have myspace too! You should send me your page and I will send you mine too! I also have scars from cutting myself during a really really low point in my life. There are 3 of them on my left arm. I am going to get cosmetic surgery when I get the money to do so and when I strip I plan to cover them up with some cover up. I have another problem though and it makes me feel so ugly and self conscious. I have white stretch marks on my outer thighs (a little bit) and my boobs. I am so worried about that. But once I get the money I am going to get that expensive cream that makes them (and wrinkles they say) go away.

I think cocoa butter works as good as that expensive scar cream.

Stretch marks shouldn't even show up under the blacklights in the club.

This address is my profile for you Califlorgian. The problem is I'm not ashamed of the scars & they are a reminder to me so I'm not looking to get rid of them but only minimise them so I don't scare customers away. I was thinking that body glitter & cover up would work fine but I wanted your experienced opinions on the matter. Thank you for the help I appreciate it.

I used to cut myself too, and I have some pretty visible scars. I really do want to get rid of mine though as I feel they are a hindrance to my success. I have tried to cover them with makeup, microdermabrasion, tattooing them, and injections. Nothing has worked satisfactorily for me. Please let me know if you have tried any other methods, and how they work out. Also, let me know how everything goes for you.

The lights in the club Do work wonders for covering up scars and stretch marks. I have seen girl in the dressing room who have a bad C-section scar that you can't even see out on the floor. Ditto for stretch marks.

i agree, what u see in the light is invisible out on the floor, practically. there are lots of girls at my club with scars and stretch marks. c-sections and cutting scars. i have stretch marks on my boobs bc i went from an b to a c in about a week. u cant see shit out there.

Very true.....I didn't think of that, lol. They are only men after all, not prone to detail (no offense to those few exceptions out there).

Sorry for the guy-jack, but I'd suggest going with the simple routes at first and see if everything works out...like some of the girls said, foundation, lighting, etc might do the trick. Of course, do what makes you feel good when you're doing your thing. I'm just suggesting taking smaller steps first to fix things you're self-conscious about.

Attitude and style are the main attractions for me when it comes to strippers but I guess some guys might freak out over things like scars or other marks of whatever kind.

I agree with the idea that most things we as women deem "imperfections" are virtually invisible out on the floor. Club lighting is designed to be flattering! One word of advice though, NO BODY GLITTER! Depending on the club and clientle you'll be dancing for of course. I work in an upscale club and most of the guys have wives to go home to. That is the last thing they can explain away if they weren't supposed to be there! Even if I don't wear it and someone else does, it gets everywhere they touch (stage, poles, seats, etc.) and ends up on my customers. Please, please no glitter.
