    ive been twice, and i barely remember both times, except for flailing around ybor in a drunken stupor with a few thousand other people. fun was had.
    waffles are just pancakes with little squares on them.

    It is a Mardi Gras type celebration, Gasprilla was a famous pirate who buried treasure and was arrested before he ever got to go back and get it.

    I actually went to a private party so it wasn't just like standing on the street but we still had to use port-o-lets (only outdoor party) and that made me feel so icky I took a shower as soon as I got home. I've been to a million Mardi Gras since I'm from new orleans so not seeing the floats up close and personal didn't really bother me.
