Question to the female strippers
Why have you females chosen to pursue a career in stripping? What made you want to start doing it? Are you enjoying what you do? And can you give advice to anyone who wants to be in this industry?

i chose to strip bc its the only job that you can have fun at, sit around and smoke cigarettes, get high and drunk, lol, and whatnot. it was a spur of the moment thing for me, i never really put much thought into it, i just did it. i love what i do. just have fun with what you do! i love pole tricks, thats my fav. thing about working at a strip club! i love it when its really busy and there is so much energy when youre on stage and everyone is watching you. as i like to say: rock the casbah! dont be nervous, have fun! if you feel ashamed for what youre doing tho, it may not be for you. good luck!

Stripping is not my career. I have a job with benefits etc. I took on stripping as a dare, and learned i could make alot of money fast.
Advice for others? Don't expect to make the money that was once flying around, clubs have changed, don't dance for drugs or shopping. Save some of the money for an education, and one day move on.
Stripping is a job that does not last until you retire in you're 60's, with benefits, so just have fun, don't start fights with others in the club about anything, because stripping to me was never a serious job, too easy to walk any time.
And so i have!!!! I do private parties and phone now only now. That's it. The clubs are so different from when i started, not enough customers, and too many friggin rules. lol.

I agree with Pamela.

I'm 26, married, and haven't taken my clothes off in public for money in a couple of years, but hope to return to the stage sometime in the near future, if possible, although if we stay in Seattle that doesn't look very good! In a couple of years, I'll start hatching, and frankly plan to be the most traditional, stay-at-home Mom you can imagine. My stripping days will prolly be over then.
BUT, when I was 19, and had gotten myself in great shape after a teenage-hood of being the "chubby girl", it was a GREAT experience. The money was fine, the attention was excellent (Yeah, I'm an attention whore..... so sue me), and I felt WONDERFUL about myself. Now, as it happens, I danced in a very up-scale club (and later in a not-so-upscale, but OK club) and had a great experience.
The sex was so good, the neighbors needed a cigarette!

I just started, after a couple months of debate, and I am so glad I did. I am not doing anything wrong, I am comfortable with my body. I love the attention, as most strippers who are good at it do, and I am not ashamed. And I am going to milk it for what it is worth right now. I am paying off my credit card debts and my goal is to buy my own property within the next year. I can't imagine it being a BAD job unless I was foolishly wasting my money, or doing drugs.
