This may sound silly, but do I take any tips given while I'm on stage auditioning? I wouldn't think there would be much anyways...I have to go at like 11 am, but just in case.

Well ... The first time i ever audition... got up stage, danced, and ran off stage... didn't take any tips what so ever... but when i got to the back room ... one of the girls asked if i took my tip, i said no .. so she ran up stage and got all my money for me...
so yes... take your tip, its yours
hope that helps![]()

Some clubs wont allow you to take tips on the first audition depending on where you work but hell if its ok with the club ...TAKE ALL THE MONEY!!!![]()

If they allow you, I say take the money and run.
Of course, always take the tip. I've never heard of a club say not too. You're on stage,
the customer freely tips you. It's between you and the customer. How could you refuse
the tip. It would just get taken by the next dancer, who wouldn't have earned it.
If management wanted you to audition away from customers they would have put you up
on a far off stage. Part of the audition is to see how well you appeal to and interact with
customers. Tips are proof of that. Often, I make more tips doing the audition than the
other dancers who are working. This could show that I would do better at the clubs than
some of the girls working at the time. Which would prove that I should be hired.
Would/should a club not hire a dancer who successfully proves her value?
Anyway, take the tips... it's the only time you'll get to keep them without paying tipout
unless you start right then on the shift. In what other professions can you get paid
to audition? Not many. (Assuming you do actually get a few dollars in tips when you
do the try out.)
uh oh.. i thought any time you were on stage, even in an audition, you were supposed to take tips. i didn't know some clubs didn't allow it...well they never said anything to me. how can you ignore a stage side customer trying to be nice? it would be weird not to take money they want to give you. you earned it after all! take it!
