    Default Things I regreted saying...

I ended up suffering in one way or another for each one of these innocent remarks.

Geee, you have National Geographic tits (got my ears thumped for two weeks over that one)

Look, Valentine's Day is just a retailer's ploy (being unromantic does not pay dividends)

Just how much did these wooden apples cost? Oh? you bought them on sale? (looking back, those perfectly colored and carved wooden apples, sitting in a pristine wooden bowl, did add a warmth to the space)

Do you have any simple utterances that have caused you grief?

The first time I said "I do." Still paying for that one.

    Most recent one was.....

"You look beautiful pregnant, How far along are you?".....She responds...."I am not pregnant".

"I'm not sexually attracted to you."

I said this, of course, after I knew her in the biblical sense, when I was really just trying to make a distinction between her and another woman at the time. Killed a long-time relationship.

I said this to a really skinny girl but still should of thought before I spoke......

"You gained a little bit of weight, it looks really good"

Which it HONNESTLY did but she was still offended.

    Hehe, beat this one...

"Hang on, I'm not sure this is a good idea."

(Said at the end of a looong night of drinking with a female friend, after things had gone a little bit too far. Guys, please note - no matter how good your intentions are, never never never say this to a woman when she has you in her mouth.)(No, I didn't pay physically for it, but I don't think I'm ever going to live that one down.)

Hearing the same tone, the same attitude, the same words of crabbiness that you've heard like clockwork every month since you've been together, and responding with, "Oh, it's that time again?" Not a good idea.
