The club is called Sin, it's near Russell and I-15, opening Feb 14., 40,000 square feet, seperate sports bar, an erotic art gallery, trapize artists, an adult shop, they've applied for slots, sounds interesting but is this really needed?

Second that emotion Richard. Sounds like a great plan, just lousy timing.

    from the article:
"This will be one of the largest gentlemen's clubs in town, next to Jaguars and Sapphire's," Arfa said.
Have they noticed that for the most part, the people who actually spend money in these places haven't exactly given Jaguars or Sapphire the most glowing reviews, at least not in relation to some of the older, smaller, cozier clubs in town. Give me the OG or the Spearmint Rhino over these Taj Mahal masoleum clubs anyday.

"There are 35,000 hotel rooms within one mile of [Sin]," he continued. "Las Vegas actually doesn't have many gentlemen's clubs in relation to its population and the number visitors who come here each year."
Really? Then why are the existing clubs so damned overcrowded with girls?
The main nightclub offers a unique oddity: trapeze artists. There will be girls swinging and twirling from 20 feet above.
Oh, that will go over about as well as those skyboxes at Sapphire. Like I really want to see that sort of thing. Call me a hapless cynic, but it sounds like someone had $10 million in illegally acquired funds they needed to run through the ringer.

Sounds like a interesting club, but it will not survive in Vegas...the market is too saturated. With all those different things in one building, I don't see the strip club part of it thriving. The big mega clubs there are a total waste.
I quit dancing after 3 years there in 2003, just as the big mega clubs were opening. And as I predicted they are not doing well, Jaguars, Treasures, Sapphire, they all have major problems. CH2 survives because it has been there so long and has a history. Anything bigger than CH2 or OG's, the customers for the most part don't like the atmosphere in the mega clubs.

I think I'll just stick to dancing in The Big Easy.Much less hassle and no club opening/closing drama.

Apparently the owners were contractors for Ventetian and the Hilton. They built the club at a fraction of the cost due to their own resources. Their mentality is like everyone else. Make money on $20 cover and overpriced drinks while sub contracting dancers as a legitmate tax break now that dancers must have a business license. They feel they can't lose.

By the way Jaguar's got their license.

Okay, totally new to this site, but looking for some info. on Vegas especially, so I thought I'd post this here. First off, I'm male, and trying to get some info. about dancing here in Vegas. I know nothing about the male side of the business and wondered if anyone could enlighten me a bit. Also, my girlfriend started dancing here in Vegas a few months ago and I wanted to talk to get some opinions on dating and dancing and all that fun stuff... anyone?

Have you tried Olympic Garden? There's a male strip club on the second floor.

As for the rest, need specific questions...

    They just reopened again today.
So when are these clubs going to start competing with house fee wars. With all of these clubs you'd think that something must go in favor of the workers eventually.

The "owner" is a contractor who has worked on a lot of high profile remodeling jobs here in Vegas. Apparantly he ran a regular nightclub in Atlanta years ago.
Poor guy. He has no idea what he's in for. Unless he knows people with Vegas strip club connections, those dancers aren't going to make jack $*$^. Maybe it can just be a nice club without lapdances.
    Only time will tell.

Not as long as girls are pouring into Vegas by the hundreds and thousands hoping to cash in on some of ridiculous amounts of money guys supposedly spend on strippers there. The whole city of Vegas operates on reputation and exploiting people's hopes and desires. You can bet all those "documentaries" produced about the "excess" and "wild" times there have been initiated and/or financed by those with an interest in luring tourists in to party. The strip clubs there have long depended on the high-roller reputation to draw in naive out of town girls willing to pay the inflated fees for the chance to "hit big". As long as misinformed customers tell hopeful young girls they'd make soooo much more in Vegas, or girls keep passing around tales of what kind of money strippers USED to make there, they'll keep going and paying.

The only way LV clubs will see fit to lower fees is if out of town girls suddenly get a clue and stop flooding the market there. Information sources like stripperweb will help - it sure is growing

Is it just me but don't you just want to seriously roll your eyes whenever you hear about another club opening or see another post on here from a girl excited about going to Vegas to "strike it rich"......for those of us who danced there and know the "real deal" I just wanna shout to these girls "please read the prior posts before you pack and move somewhere"... instead of just listening to "friends" stories......Just yesterday there was a new thread started by a girl that was going to move there. And she started it by saying "y'all"....no offense but if you use words like "y'all" I'm thinking a city like Vegas might eat the girl alive and leave her very dissapointed.

"There are also plans for a Las Vegas Museum of Sex and Erotic Art Gallery, featuring rotating exhibitions from national painters and sculptors. The initial installation will feature pieces from Milton Hebald, a Bronx-born contemporary sculptor, whose work is in the Whitney Museum of Art, John F. Kennedy International Airport and the Lincoln Center. A curator has been hired to oversee the project." ........huh?

I'm surprized they did not add a StarBucks while they were at it.

We went to the opening of SIN on Thurs. THe main room is about the size of OG, but MUCH nicer. The main dancing room is shaped likke an L. There are three stages - one is the "shadow stage" because when the girls are dancing up there, it casts a shadow into the "sports bar" area behind it. It is a small stage, elevated about 5 ft above the floor with it's own rail around it.

THere is a large middle stage with two poles - the girls go there after the shadow stage. It is in the middle of the bar area so the girls aren't near the customers at all, no rail. But there are seats all around the bar. and some tall tales and chairs next to it.

THen in the longer L area of the room you have 3 big areas with couches that are reserved for VIPs, then the VIP room, couches that ring one side of the room and a smaller bar opposite. At the end of that area is another VIP area and a stage with a rail. Near that stage is a hoop that periodically had girls doing arial stuff. All the floor seating is standard with small chairs and little tables.

The sports bar area has the same set up with couches along the wall and chairs in the middle with the bar at one end. It has a separate entrance, but a connecting door to the rest of the club.

The adult bookstore is not open yet, it is to the side of the entrance and not in the club. SO you can go to the bookstore and not have to pay to get into the club.

The girls were great for the most part that I could see. Many were HOT, some had hot bodies and ugly faces, and most were cute or attractive but not gorgeous. Like at a lot of big clubs. It is pretty bright in the club, though and they will have to fix that!

The bathrooms are nice, and the locker room entrance is next to the women's rest room. The DJ was good, and when the crowd got quiet he would get them going again. Good music for the most part and not a lot of rap or heavy metal that I heard.

I was told that they are also going to have a nightclub area but didn't see where that was.

DOn't know if any of that was helpful or not.... HOpe it was.

I currently dance in Las vegas, but I also started cocktailing at sin to check it out. There are 2 owners and one has a sister club called "Centerfolds". I think it is in either Chicago or Boston. Sin is very upscale, but still a bit slow. They have been overly critical during the hiring of dancers. Most of the management is very supportive, but many of them have never been in the strip club industry before now. The cabbies love the location, because of the easy access. They can drop off 2 fares in the time it takes them to run one fare to any of the other clubs in town.
