Default How do you know when.................

How do you know when you yourself have bad breath??? I am always paranoid about that because sometimes there's people with horrible breath and they seem to not know. I'm afraid to be one of those persons.

For example at the office where i work the receptionist sometimes has horrible breath that the whole reception area stinks, and sometimes there are people sitting around her talking to her. How can they sit there with her? i can't even pass by without wanting to throw up, and how the hell does she not know how much her mouth stinks. Well thats one example. So I wanna know how can I tell i'm not one of those people???

    Ewwww.. Yech.. Halitosis.

I think that someone should know right off-the-bat if their breath was foul. But I've met quite a few people who are seriously clueless, either they don't realize it, or they don't care.

I hate bad breath, and will definitely keep my distance from someone with "yuck mouth". Even my hubby knows not to come near me for a kiss if he hasn't brushed his teeth in the morning. It just won't happen. It makes my skin crawl and makes me want to vomit.

I ALWAYS have breath mints on me. Altoids! It's funny too, because everytime I go to eat one, I ask those around me if they'd like one. They get defensive and ask if their breath stinks.. LOL.. Sometimes it does of course, but for the most part, I just offer to be kind.

Lick your wrist and smell it. The breath on palm trick doesn't work because the nose gets desensitized to breath as it gets stagnant. Keep a toothbrush nearby and sugar-free mints, or a piece of fruit to nix bad breath.

Advice I once heard - "never refuse a breath mint".

I can't smell my own...but I have come to find that when my mouth feels as though the cat has been walking around on my tongue...it means my breath smells like the cat's ass.

If you're not sure, eat a mint/chew some gun.

Here's how to smell your own breath-

1-Lick the back of your hand twice
    2-Blow on it until dries
    3-Lick it again
    4-kind of "huff" on it
    5-blow dry again
    6-smell it
