    Sad No time to exercise!

Okay, as some of you know I'm on a vacation from dancing at the moment and have a "real" job. I'm gonna go back to dancing in a month or longer (depends on a lot of stuff). Anyway, I want to lose 10lbs before I go back but have found out that working this shift that I cannot go to the gym unless I seriously cut a chunk of my sleeping away! So I can only get to the gym 2 times a week! We have no all-night gyms here! ARGH! I usually rely on exercise to lose weight so what am I suppost to do now?!

I want to be a knock out when I go back to dancing, not some weak little flabby thing.

I work out at home allot. It's relaxing and totally keeps me in shape.

what are some good cardio excercises for at home? I usually get most of my workout time in the evening late and all I do at home is pilates and my trainer gets on me for not doing enough cardio when I'm not in the gym with him.

Don't let the gym hours get in the way of your weight loss. You can do carido at home or fill a couple 1/2 gallon water bottles and do some squats. Be strict on your food intake and chill on the carbs and sugars. If you can't work off the calories on a certain day then don't take in that many calories on that day. Your body should feel nice and tight by the time you go back to shake it.

Well, I dont know if its too cold there but you can do jumprope. Ive heard that its just the same as cardio plus you get some awesome thighs from it too. It raises the heart rate just as cardio at the gym does.

TigersMilk is right, I live in a tiny dorm room and the gym has crappy hours so I bought a jump rope which is a hell of a work out!!! I saw the quickest improvements with the jump rope than I do when I run.

I would just buy a workout tape or just do jumping jacks every comercial break. You could probably do 50 jacks every comercial break and maybe exercise while watching a tv show you like.

Awesome tips girls! Thanks a lot.

I think what I'll do is just bring my running clothes to work and run home. I thought of this before but am skeptical since it's dark out when I get off work and is still slippery here. Plus it's a really long distance (good thing I guess) and I'd have to run with a back-pack on (I don't know how well that would go over).

I workout home, gym, home, gym on alternate exercise sessions. It breaks monotony and keeps me in shape. Just gotta cut out the sugar!!

With me its not about not having time its about me being lazy. I would suggest taking the stairs instead of the elevator when you go out, also when i go to the grocery store, mall, restaurant, etc. i try to park as far away so that I have to walk. I also drink alot of water.

When I was in school & wokring, I would wake up really early in the morning & jog in the park. Get home whenever I can & do cardio workout by a video tape. It helped.
