Default Please help calm my nerves...

Well, my audition is tomorrow and I am excited, but also SO nervous. I have my outfit and shoes. The shoes are killer. I've been walking in them all night, but I feel like unless I'm bracing myself, I'm going to trip and fall. They are clear 5-6 in heel platforms. Anyone else have a hard time with them when you started out?? I know there have been a million posts about this, but....I thought I had it together, but now...what the hell do I do out there? I don't have any particular routine. Do I just move slow and make love to the music? God....I am so nervous Someone please reassure me about this Thanks

    Sunny.....(do you think that's a cute name)

I think sunny is a way cute name! Wish I'd thought of it! Justget up there knowing you're the best, like they'd be crazy not to hire you! Don't let your nerves trick you into dancing fast. Slow, steady & seductive usually catches the eye more and is much more appealing. Make eye-contact with custys if there are any when you audition (manageement notices that) & my little trick is to pretend I'm seducing/making love to my boyfriend (or Johnny Depp :-)

If you do trip a little (the slow dancing should help prevent that, but accidents happen) make a cute pouty face to invite sympathy (think Nicole Kidman in Moulin Rouge) and do some floor work if you can before getting right back on that horse! (or pole, rather)

I like Sunshine or Summer better. I think you will do fine with the shoes though. No one is going to make fun of you if you trip or something. And especially if you are new, most men like to spend $ on the newness.

Thanks girls! One more question.....My outfit is a hot pink mini, thong underneath and a cute matching halter. When I'm auditioning up on stage, should I also strip off the skirt and go just thong.... or leave on the skirt for my first time and just lift it up and tease?? (topless place) Thanks so much. You girls (and guyson the boards rock!

Honey..you're going to do just fine. The nervousnes is all in your mind. It really will go away. People won't know that you've never danced before, the customers won't know that you're nervous, the girls won't be staring you down. Just don't worry. When you get on stage make sure you smile and just sway your body is a sexy way...there is no need to get fancy or bust out some crazy moves...make sure you give eye contact..and again, smile, smile, SMILE..and the guys will be tipp'en ya!
