    Default Dancers - VIP quotas?

For those of you that work in clubs with VIP or champagne rooms, are there usually quotas on how many sessions you sell?

I got to thinking about it while reading the thread on whether guys are disillusioned and I think the VIP/CR concept may be part of it. The 3/$100 or $200/half hour standards I have no problem with...but what usually happens is the club tacks on a drink minimum on top, for some ridiculous amount (like 2 drinks in 15 minutes or $75 for a half hour). That's when I'd rather not be upsold to VIP. But if the dancer has to sell X number of VIPs in a night, it won't matter if she makes $200 for the dances she's given me, if they weren't in VIP.

Sounds like we'd end up in a bit of vicious cycle here...

We had to sell at least one room a week. When its slow and you dont work much, thats kinda hard to do. You get fined if you dont get your 1 room a week. Stupid I think.

I once worked at a place that required two rooms a night. But the rooms were $50, so it was a pretty easy sell. $10 of each $50 went back to the club, so it wasn't a big deal, I would rather sell table side dances all night at $20 a song and skip the rooms entirely. I would just then pay the additional $20 in fees instead of pushing the rooms.

Wow, sounds like I have it easy compared to you ladies. The management at my club would love us to get champagne rooms ($350 min cust charge) as often as possible, but it's not required. We sell as many dances as we can for our own benefit and are only required to pay our fees for the day.

I don't know about you ladies, but it has been slow for awhile up here in Maine.

First club: No vip room itself, girls who weren't selling dances much were fired on occasion. [club got $10 out of the $20 dance, customers who paid the girl for sitting with them in the main club were very frowned upon]

Second club: Customers weren't actually aware of the Champagne room. No quota.

Third club: I work at the same club RetiredDancer worked at, the fine is the price of one lapdance, there are a few girls that just pay the fine and refuse to do rooms. /I/ think our rooms are really reasonable and usually do 1 or 2 a shift.

I won't work at any club that has quotas for anything, especially drinks, and particularly VIP. In Texas, our VIP doesn't give the dancer any more money, $20 a dance is still acceptable. BUT, I do goal myself to dance non-stop when I AM in VIP so that I can average about $160 per 32 minutes....only after I have that amount will I take a break. Otherwise, the meter is running.........

tampafldancer, I'm doing decently - a lot better than the stinky club I started at. I hate the day shift requirement [two per week] as it's just really hard for me to wake up at 9am some days and "at least by 4pm" other days. Especially with trying to stay awake during the slow hour or two after opening.

I'm with Katrine about drink quotas! My bf reminds me "so you pay a $30 fine and get several more $30 dances - what's your problem?" but I hate the whole "you failed to meet the quota" thing.
