    Default the young guys....

I have seen in a lot of threads on here that most young guys don't spend any money, so I've kind of been avoiding the young guys at work and not even bothering with them. I have been costing myself a lot of money! Despite what everyone says about young guys, the last three nights I worked, pretty much the bulk of my dances were from guys who were 18-25 that didn't look like they would have money to spend, but did. I even had a guy who was 21 or 22 tip me a 20 on stage, then buy one 30 dollar dance, and tip me 30 on top of that! Does anyone else on here make money off the young guys?

Yes. Some of it is true. Often they dont tip well. But you should still approach them and treat them as they do because you never know.

The only time Ive ever had problems with the younger ones is when its a group of maybe high school seniors who may not have that much cash but still you never know.

Dancers who are primadonas tend to overlook and stereotype customers also tend to be the ones who are always complaining that they never make money.

Money can be made by approaching and treating every customer the same regardless if its a vip or some guy who just got off work at a retail store. You never know what a guy is going to spend. He may have in fact saved up money to come in for one night of fun and may turn out to be a nice guy.

The young custys do get stereotyped an awful lot. The first few times I went to the club, I couldn't get girls to come up to me, and I had a $170 in my hand. I guess I'm the exact opposite of what the dancers target; young, college-age female. You do ocassionally hit the jackpot, but it's kind of a rare thing. My advice would be to watch those guys all night, see if they look like they're spending. Some of the responsibility relies on the custy too. I just started pulling the girls myself. I would go up to ones that were chilling at the bar, or who were just standing around. They soon found out I spend and told the rest of the girls.

This is the exact reason that NO ONE should stereotype customers. You never know what someone has to spend or is willing to spend unless you talk to them, right?

Young guys are tough to read... but they have to be treated like any other customers; you never who's going to make you dance for a 100$ and up!

Quite a few younger guys have made me dance for a good amount of $$$. And i love dancing for them because they are not jaded about strippers. They buy in to the fantasy! And usually very thankful.

And you also have to remember that when you were 18-20 years old; YOU were BROKE as well!!! (unless you were already dancing!)

It's one thing to sterotype customers and another thing to qualify customers. A big difference. Often times younger guys get a bad rap because if they only frequent the clubs they can get into because they are under 18, they often don't have the types of disposable income that other people more mature have. It's just a fact of life that someone who is 19 may not make as much money as someone in the club dressed nice who is more mature age-wise. This doesn't mean that all young guys are cheap and don't spend nor does it mean that all older men are big spenders. In slower clubs, I suggest going up to everyone possible because you really just never know but in certain environments, depending on the volume of customers etc., you just have to play the odds.

Also keep in mind that tax refunds are starting to be issued, and younger customers usually get money back, and not have to pay like the older ones. I remember when I used to get my tax refunds, I would go party and shopping and the like. Now I realize that the governmant is just giving me back money that I already earned, and it really isn't "extra money".

Anyhow, younger customers should be getting fat checks right about now, so don't avoid them in the club. Maybe even favor the younger ones for the business types that are forking over thousands of dollars to good ol' Uncle Sam! Also look for the blue collar types for the same reason. I sat with a guy last night for half and hour and he gave $250 just for sitting there. He was a construction worker, and I would say that he probably didn't normally spend the kind of money in strip clubs like he did last night.

I guess I should say take it while you can get it as this will be short term. Refund checks go fast!

Ive had many similar situations where the young guy would in the 1st 2-3 minutes of conversation would ask for my number or play around with the "he's the b-day guy...no he is.." LOAD OF BS....pissed me off alot!!
There was a few guys who have made my night or even had a fun time with dancing for them.

I guess this is wear the qualifying suggestion DW had......My best thought on how to qualify someone would be to:
*ask them if theyve been here before
*are they here to see anyone
*(if a group of guys) get a friend to help talk to them all
Thats all I can think of after that I just go from there......those would be my general Q's for most guys (I hope they arent too bad or wrong for that matter?)

I've kind of been thinkin this too, that the young ones dont spend the cash. But it's not true!! I had young guys all tip me $20 bills on stage in my first week of work!! I'd like this to happen every nite

I get alot of younger guys who'll empty their pockets with me. Most don't have as much cash as alot of older guys, but the younger ones are usually less jaded and demanding, and freer with their money. You can play hit and run all night long with the younguns, make just as much money, and put up with less BS in the process. I also find alot of younger ones TIP better on dances - many of them turn out to be waiters or bartenders who have daily cash and understand about working for TIPS

Agreed with B 100%. They tend to like dancers who are older and more dominating, demanding. That is different then the young girls they usually dance with. I find that younger dancers really have a problem w young guys because they consider them the dating pool. The sexy slightly older girl persona I put on suggests to them that I would turn them black and blue with a new asshole in the sack, therefore I'm out of their league. Yet they still find me enticing. And when I smack a young guy's hand away for trying to touch the goodies, they might sheepishly grin. Older customers with their entitlement issues get personally offended.

yeah I make money off of young bloods because I'm like a girl 'friend' who they can relate to. Either that or they just like strippers.

I usually save up my money to go to a SC cause I know that y'all are there to make that money. Besides, I love it when the dancers remember me as "the cute young guy who doesn't come here often" instead of "the a-hole that sits there and doesn't tip".

Ohhhh... can't wait to get that check! Come to poppa! (grins sheepishly at checkbook)

Which brings me to my next point. All dancers in the PR area who want to get a slice of my fat tax refund check should PM me to get on the waiting list.

I've had about 3 groups of young guys that I have made money off of. The last group was just a few weeks ago, they came in when we were closing, sat at the stage and I was one of the last girls up. THey ended up tipping me $20's. I didn't dance for any of them, so it was pretty easy.

I think you have to treat everyone of them as they have a wad of cash to spend until they prove otherwise.

I often think too many girls stereotype customers, and younger guys get a bad rap. Ive seen girls where I work just blow them off entirely.

I feel this also has to do with the region. Now that I'm 26... getting older by the year (yeah.. I know.. obvious statement)... I feel like I can't relate to the younger guys.

I also don't have too much of a tolerance for their BS which, unfortunately, alot of them pull. They want "mates rates".. a special for the "birthday boy"... my phone number.. "why should I pay when I can get it for free" and so forth. I guess this is due to my region - you are legal age to drink at 18 across Australia.

There are dancers who do really well with the young ones and I applaude them. It is just that.. well.. ever since Schoolies (do a search on SW with the term "schoolies") and how it is just waaaaaay to easy for anyone (esp. the young ones) to sit stage side and not tip... and not move (as the seats are comfortable)... I don't really approach them as often as some.

I can deal with the older guys much easier. The young ones fall in love with me too easily and think that because they are younger (and usually more handsome/attractive) that they have a better chance.

Hmm.... I've recently started to target "couples" (as some of them are just friends going to a club together) ... I guess I'll also start to target the young ones as well... hmm...
