    Should I waitress first?

Hi to everyone! I am really considering dancing and I went to the club I want to dance at last weekend. I really like the atmosphere there....the girls were okay..some nice, some a little bitchy. What I was wondering was would it be a better idea to waitress first and then make my move or should I just go for it? Im not sure what would be the better route. Is dancing one of those things where you just need to go for it? Or wouls it be a good idea to assimilate myself with staff, etc...first? Input would be greatly appreciated!!!!!! Thanks!!!!!

I think its is different for everyone. I started as a waitress because I did not want to get on stage and dace. Three months later I was up on stage dancing. If you are ready to dance now, then go for it.

If you think you can put on a good show with a mile on your face then just go for it!! The only difference is you will be on stage, with no clothes on!!

Old Joke -- I've told it here before --

What's the difference between a strip club waitress and a strip club dancer?

    About 3 weeks....

I walked in to my first club looking for a waitress job, not even thinking about dancing. When the manager came out to talk to me, I'd already changed my mind.

LOL...it's stripper training ground, if you ask me...just like being a Hooter's waitress...gives you the chance to see if you don't mind being objectified by drooling, drunk men for money...

It's best if you just jump into dancing head first.........feel the fear, then do it anyway......besides, the money will be better

I think you should just go ahead and dance don't waste time. I'm a newbie myself (just have two days dancing), trust me I get so freaking nervous, I do tell some of my customers I'm new and they understand. once you in there for a whole day dancing you'll get used to going up stage that'll you'll forget most of your fears.. by the way I do notice that waitress is mostly similar to dancers only difference is that they don't get naked.

    good luck

And they work harder for less money, most of the time, have to deal with more management, staff and customer bullshit. For instance, I can cuss at someone and walk away if they piss me off or offend me. A waitress has to smile and live by the philosophy that the customer is always right. I tell you, I have too much attitude to last even a partial shift cocktailing at a strip club.

    Absolutely not!

You want to dance, start dancing. I would look at taking the Dancer Wealth seminar soon after you start so you can learn how to maximize your income ASAP!

I think waiting can be good to observe the moves and how to work it. but if you already got that down then go straigt to dancing.
