    hey sushi....

gold coast clubs as mermaid said there is Hollywood (which i work at), players, crazy horse and bad girls ...they are all full nude.

There is a club in broadbeach called playmate mansion which is topless only...maybe look it up on the net to find out more info but i know its topless only there.

Sydney....well those 3 clubs i think you mentioned in sydney (pure platnium, Mens gallery etc) i have heard that they are the only strip clubs in sydney that are not brothels...i wouldnt know because ive never worked there ...but thats what ive been told.

maybe check in the reviews section to see if any girls posted about them there??

    Hi Sushi Doll,

On the Gold Coast there are all shapes and sizes! I think as long as you are okay looking and will not squash the customers when you are giving them a lap dance then you will be okay.

I have seen girls, even bigger girls at most of the clubs on the Gold Coast. When I went to Hollywood Showgirls as a customer, some of the girls were very attractive with great bodies and good stage technique, but then I noticed a few who were average. That is not to say they weren't making money though, as on the Gold Coast a lot of guys like to take the girl for a dance because of her personality.

Players takes a huge amount of girls earnings but you have hostess's helping you so maybe this would be good for a start for you until you get the hang of hustling. Crazy Horse is not a very classy club but you can make money there. Bad Girls is probably not as busy. Hooters is a newer club so I don't know how it is going, but I hear the owner is not so nice. Don't bother with Broadbeach.

Don't be afraid of going nude. Being topless is only one step away from being nude anyway. It is not much different. Remember that on the Gold Coast the guys are allowed to touch your breasts, same in Brisbane. I find it easy enough to switch off but you may be different.

In Melbourne there is no touching and I'm not sure of the rules in Sydney. Good Luck!

lol the girls on the gold coast definatly ARENT all you think they are.

to be honest, some are very average, compared to what youd expect. i think theres more competition down in melbourne etc.

if your gonna dance on the coast, only consider hollywood, players and maybe crazy horse( depending on the level of contact your cool with)

hollywood and players are the two best tho, the others are all a bit debatable.

(failing that, maybe non club dancing is the way o go. great money, NO contact, but nude, and depending on how keen, you can do toy shows etc, but generally very clean)

    Hi,
I'm at Showgirls in Sydney - I did a club review. We have way too many girls working there at the moment, it's fucking ridiculous but possibly the same everywhere. The way the club runs etc can be a bit of a shock to the system for anyone who has come from the Coast or anywhere well run or "classy", the contrast is amazing and ammusing. Several dancers I know from the Coast wont even set foot in Darlinghurst Road, I dont think it's so bad, but if you want somewhere classy stick to Dancers Cabaret, Mens Gallery, Pure Platinum, Lady Janes if it still exists and Mink or minx whichever one it is. Dancers Cabaret used to pay a retainer, but I heard that there are so many backpackers stripping in Sydney currently that they don't now because there are so many backpackers and overseas student stripping there currently it's not feasible to pay it.
Lady Janes I heard got shut down due to a drug bust, but I don't know how true that is - it was meant to be a good club. Theres also Mink and Minx in the city ones a brothal, the other is said to be ok but I havent been in either yet and forget which is which.
There are various other places around the city - not sure how good or bad they are or what they're called.
I think the Pink Pussycat was Showgirls before it was Showgirls, if not then it's a brothal - most Kings Cross clubs are both strip clubs and brothals. I doubt you'd want to work in any of them!!! Actually the circuit (dancing in all of the clubs doing 20 min sets) would be ok, but I dont think they need anymore girls currently and the girls arnt getting as much work as they used to anyway. I think all Sydney clubs are full nude.

does anyone know about a club called THE RED ROOM ??? (melb).

i kindof gatherd there isnt much in sydney , i checked out pure platnium (i dont know why i really hate that chain, they just seem a bit boring and tame ) and eros theatre, ill write a review on this one later, its awful! totally gross half brothel porn club, no thankyou.
aussiepunkrocker, friend who used to work at lady janes, she said it was really good (amazing money!!) but yeah - it was a huge chinese mafia coke scene and eventually got closed down (like a month before my 18th! how unfair is that?!) ............. it hasnt re opened has it?

if melbourne doesnt work out then i'll try the goldcoast! theres got to be somewhere in this contry ok to dance! im sure i could do full nude.

I work at Dancers, but only 1 or 2 nights a week...part time really. I'm very sporadic! It's been really slow for about 6 months, unless you work on the weekends (when there's heaps of girls working). Haven't worked at Mens Gallery lately, supposed to be better than Dancers as there are more corporate types and it's heaps busier. I suppose Sydney's pretty tame because MGs, Dancers and PP are really just upscale topless bars where punters have to pay $77 for a 15 min full strip air dance. Aussiepunkshocker, you're right, they stopped with the retainer.

Then on the other end of the scale, you have the Darlo road brothel/SCs like Stripperamma and Porkys - eww!!! Not for me.

I've been wanting to go to Melbourne for about a couple months now - just haven't been able to get away, and now uni's started again. I'd be interested to see how you go!

Lol ok. God I LOVE Sydney!
You know you probably should just find a club that you know is safe and just work there instead of fussing around - what have you got to loose?!!!
You really don't know until you try and real experience is definatly the best way to find out what you really want or like. You may even be surprised and find you like working in a place you didn't think met your standard. At worst your free to walk out of a place anytime you feel like it, christ i have walked out of Bad Girls (with reason) several times - they always let me back (-:

I just wanted to interject to balance this thread.

Melbourne is what you make of it. Melbourne can be intimidating. I agree that Bar20 would be a great place for you to start as they offer training for the dancers and allow you to get "a good hustle" going.

Granted... everywhere in Australia is suffering. Either too many dancers and not enough patrons or just plain slow (the patron numbers have "slowed down").

Also.. there is Dallas Dancers (used to be known as Kages on Kings) and the Kittens chain of clubs in Melbourne. The "Kitten" clubs are the only ones that allow touching in Melb./Victoria (as far as I'm aware).... and .. well.. have a rep. that they allow more than just touching in their dances (or so some patrons have said - ie licking anything above the waist, kissing.. and if the customer has paid "extra" he can touch between the legs...)

As for Gold Coast .... stay away. I say this as it is not the place to dance in as it once was... it has changed. With the introduction of the 3am "lock in" as well as Hollywood Showgirls... the scene has changed.

I need to update the review to include that only rostered/scheduled dancers are allowed to work each night now because Hollywood suffered too much when you were allowed to turn up for a shift even if you weren't scheduled/rostered for that shift. I find it much better now with this new ruling. It is also strict (to a point).

As far as "grading" the Gold Coast clubs goes: Hollywood (top), Players (middle) and Crazy Horse (bottom). Bad Girls is decent enough and there are dancers who have danced there for ages who do well.... however... it just doesn't get the traffic like the other clubs. Most people easily over-look it or walk straight past. Hooters... well... give it a go if you want however all I will say is that it is a bad location. There is a reason why within a span of 3 years... about four different strip clubs have occupied that same spot. Things have changed since I last worked there.

The topless club in Broadbeach still exists as far as I'm aware yet really is a last resort or only for those who just cannot bring themselves to be full nude.

The reason why I can say Melbourne can be intimidating is because if you are not used to working with 50+ other dancers and the more "forward" type of hustle (body contact works wonders with Melbourne whereas on the G.C. some distance is usually expected - we aren't "all over" the guys on the GC as I noticed the dancers are in Melbourne)... then it will initially "intimidate" you.

Do not forget about the other parts of Australia! Sinsations in Canberra, Darwin, Adelaide, Perth.... I'm scared now that tooo many dancers are now just heading to Melbourne it might become saturated.

Adelaide can be decent actually as The Palace does offer something for those who are willing to do 5 shifts per week. Just ask Sarah if they do any deals for interstate dancers who want to work 5 shifts a week. They will also pay you (nothing big.. just something) to do the shows on stage not just your normal rostered stage. I am unsure if Crazy Horse Adelaide offers anything for normal "house" dancers. They will pay their feature acts however this usually only applies if you have a decent title(s) "under your belt". The Palace is the classy club compared to Crazy Horse.

Edit To Add: Players on the Gold Coast now has jelly wrestling once a week, Paul the manager is back from Thailand where he has "recruited" some girls... and is going to the Phillipines to do the same... he is also threatening the dancers who are still there that he will fire anyone he likes when the Thai girls come... from all reports.. it is a highly stressful environment at the moment over there. It is a popular club still and there is money to be made... just that things have changed since Mermaidnz has been there.

Edit To Add: Oh yeah... I know you've probably already done so however I will mention in none-the-less... keep checking in on the "Around Australia" thread. I do post to that thread about the scene here on the Gold Coast and elsewhere in there more than not (even more so in my Yahoo group).

Don't know how long that jelly wrestling will continue for Gold Coast Girl, considering I heard it is in the process of being sold? It does sound quite interesting though.

As for Broadbeach's ''Playmate Mansion" what a lame attempt at trying to get that up and running again. That venue has never succeeded at being anything, let alone a strip club. I worked down there for a while when it was "Dynasty" and I did alright but then the guy sold it and it became a normal bar, then it was a strip club again...blah blah blah. I walked in there the other night after drinks with a girlfriend of mine and there were no girls anywhere! Imagine going to a strip club and seeing no girls!

SUSHIDOLL - Its okay to have high standards, believe me ; I have worked in some nasty clubs with some nasty girls and I would choose the classy clubs any day over the others. But at the same time you have to go where the money is and you can usually get a feel for where you can make good money. I think you can make good money most places, but it all depends on you.

Don't be so concerned about whether there are bitchy girls in the clubs you go to because they are going to be everywhere regardless! Some girls will start out nice but people turn quite easily in this business. Better to go in, do your thing and go home. The more you interact with the other girls, the more trouble you can land yourself in.

No truer words have been spoken!

Be friendly just do not involve yourself into your co-workers lives too much. The less they know about you the less chance that they might slip up and tell a customer about you (for instance.. just an example) .... basically.... go to work, go home. Do not have drinks with the staff... ANY of the staff... have a life that is separate from the SC.

At the same time, allow yourself to form (what I term) alliances. This is where you will keep in contact with other dancers purely for information. It is a business partnership as such..

The less you get involved with the other dancers... hopefully the less the politics of the club will be for you.

There can be dis-advantages to not involving yourself (not as much preferrential treatment such as what my home club's dancer manager does)... yet I wouldn't want to be involved in her life anyway.

She must really be an absolute bitch Gold Coast Girl!!!

Yes, I've been there and done that and I will not get involved in other people's lives whilst working in the strip club industry unless I am absolutely positively reassured that they are not drugfu**ed losers who are going to rip me off when I close my eyes, or get me into trouble with police or people associated with the club.

I don't even like to get involved in other peoples problems/ lives when I am working in different industries, it all causes too much trouble...and lands back in your face.

Sorry girls, I'm really tired so much of this won't make sense, but you get the drift.

One thing I learnt in Melbourne .... say it is $60 for 3 songs or something. Also, strive to NOT do the fantasy rooms. Stick with the normal dances if you can as it can be a hassle going all the way DOWN to the fantasy rooms in those heels on those stairs.. pay the girl.. and do only a 10 minute dance.

Strive not to tell the punter/patron that it's $20 per song. Say it is $60 for 3 songs (or 10 mintues as it works out around the same). If they want to know of a cheaper option... tell them they can have a "sampler" for $20 (one song/3-4 minutes).

Emphasis with the $60 option that "you will have more time to relax and enjoy the experience" (speak that big slowly with smiling) "whereas the $20 option is over within 3 minutes" (speak it fast no smiling) ... "you would rather relax and have a great time, wouldn't you?" (smile)

Touch the customer in safe areas like their back, neck, arms and so forth. I learnt that Melbourne is more "touchy feel-y" in its hustle than Gold Coast and other areas.

You WILL get the hang of it. Enquire with the management about the "sales" classes.. when the next one will be..??

Last but not least... STAY AWAY FROM THE FOOD!

Due to the "free feast" that they provide of a night, I ate ate ate ... and probably put on a kilo or two thanks to it. BYO your own food, if possible.

Read HUSTLE HUT section as alot of what is "taught" within that section can apply to anyone anywhere.

Sushidoll, you need to change your attitude. If you are a shy girl, use your shyness to work in your favour. Guys like girls with confidence, yes. But they can also find a timid girl attractive as well if you use it in the right way. Be seductive with little looks/ glances, whisper into your customer's ear something like 'why don't we go and have a little dance, it'll blow your mind" Ok ok, so maybe that's a little bit lame, but you have to figure out your technique and a little bit faster otherwise you will spend the next few weeks making $20 a night.

I hate to sound horrible but you sound like you stuff around a little bit, it took you a long time to decide simply on a place to dance rather than jusst going in and doing it so maybe you really don't want to be doing it? Have you been playing with the idea for a long time? Again, please don't take that the wrong way. Sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind.

You look like an attractive girl from your photo, so there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to make money. Big fat heffer's make money in this industry. 40+ year old women with wrinkles and floppy bellies make money in this industry. Not a lot mind you, but still...

Get over being lost and sad. Just work.

yeah, read hussle hunt, get rid of your inihabitions about being a hussler in a new club, and just do it. its taken me a month to hussle in nz, due to wanting to fit in, or something weird, btu screw that.

    just work.
