Okay, so I know tanning is a subject that's been covered over and over, but this is with a slightly different twist. I'm really thin - 5' 6", 115 lbs, flat chest, chicken legs, can't gain weight to save my life - so I DON'T want the effect of looking THINNER that a tan might give. I'm a big advocate of avoiding the sun because of the whole pre-mature aging/skin cancer bit, so I've been fairly pale the whole time I've been dancing. BUT, I did spend a long day at the pool a couple months ago, and my subsequent tan did seem to look nice in the club, so I'm wondering if this is something I should consider keeping up. I do think a dancer with a bit of a tan looks more put together, classier maybe.
I would never lay in a tanning bed, I've seen WAY too many girls turn their skin to leather over-doing it. But I'm thinking a Mystic Tan might be nice, or an airbrush tan (especially if they can go easy on my boobs and ass to make them look bigger). Do you think a tan would make me look like a stick? I always thought my paleness might make me look a little heavier under the lights, but I don't know. Any skinny girls out there have any input? Maybe I might even look smoother - i.e. less boney?
Also, I've been keeping my hair kind of auburn, so a tan might look unnatural with it. But that could easily be changed (semi-permanent dyes don't last). Plus, my skin's got an olive cast to it, even though it's pale, so I'd want to go as far from orange as I could get to make it look natural. I'd need green, practically. Is there a wide range of colors at a Mystic Tan place?

This anorexic girl at my club is refered to as athletic, and I think it's becuase in the stage lighting it looks like she's lean and muscular with the tan. Backstage, you can see how emeciated she really is. Customers always tell her she's lost too much weight when she misses her tanning appointments.
