Has any one used this or any other microdermabrasion before??
ive used the loreal microderm and didnt like it..
Now, i saw one at sharper image the other day and am seriously considering trying it again?
anyone else see/use the microdermabrasion kit at sharper image?
Shit i deleted my message.
I see ALOT of these popping up now. I am wondering about the Loreal Glycolic acid one now. Has anyone tried it? Sounds harsh....Lots of products in that box, but i am willing to give it a try. The Neutrogena one tore my face up....Red, sore...wow! But a few days later i looked like i had a sun kissed look....

Hey everyone, I have some information on this. I have used a glycolic acid similar to the new avon/ loreal ones. It is cleaner chemically but does not have a "nuetralizer". The first couple of times it stings really bad so I just used a simple moisturizer, that is all the "nuetralizer" you need. I am pregnant right now so I cannot use my retin-a, this is the next best thing. It is the strongest acid I have found OTC (over the counter). It is called Reviva 10% glycolic acid cream, you can get it at some health food stores. The other one is Derma-e microdermabrasion cream. It is amazing. I don't know how it compares to mainstream micro creams but they say 3 times every other day is equal to a professional treatment. Both of these do not play around they give great results but I could imagine they are not for sensitive skins. Well, I hope this helps.![]()
I tried the kit from philosophy and really liked it!

this is a good kit since the cleanser alone costs $20
when ever I use glycolic acid I break out bad??I guess I allergic to it. Whats weird though is when my skin clears up it looks great?? I dunno??
First you can be using too much too soon, or the strength is too strong to start out with.Originally Posted by goldengrl69
If you're skin is not itchy after use, you should not be worried.
The acids work by pulling up dead skin which will pull up other crap, i.e. pimples as well. After a week of use (i would only use about a pea size twice a week to start) the skin will look alot better, as you are generating rapid cell turn-over.
What you explain sounds normal, as to what my Doc. says.
Good luck,
Pamela
