    Default "Booker" system

So, in my neverending search for a nice, suitable club to work at, I bumped into a neighbourhood strip joint. It was rumored to have been closed, but when I drove by I noticed they had a brand new sign and painted the building. So I figured they finished renovating or whatever. I go inside and ask for the manager. This woman comes out, asks what I want, I tell her I want to work here. She says OK let's go to the office and I will explain everything.

She says the girls don't hustle. I go "Whaaaa?" how can it be?
She says they have "bookers". Basically, these are guys who walk around the club with a binder, inside: headshots of the dancers working that night. I thought, oh that sounds fine and dandy. What a perfect way to be a stripper for someone who doesn't speak english/doesn't know how to hustle/doesn't want to waste time sitting with them/ whatever. Then she says you don't get paid in cash. Now my mind begins to wonder - how can it be that you perform a service and don't get paid? But then again, I've worked at places with "funny money" where you surrender it at the end of the night and get it back, less 10%. Well, no.

The men look at the binder with all the pictures. They pick the girl with the prettiest face (no full body shots, only face), and have to buy these chips. They cost $10 each, but if you buy in bulk (like for an hour, or half hour) it's less. Ok, all fine and dandy but it turns out the dancer only gets $5 for each chip! WTF?

I say to her, How can you expect to have beautiful girls willing to dance for $5? She says, simple, because song lengths are only 2-3 minutes, and besides, there's no hustle, sales, or convincing. And on top of that, if you don't make $1000 a week, we will give you the difference! I thought, well, if I'm gonna dance for a stinkin' $5 I may as well be guaranteed to go home with some decent money after all. So I stayed to work that night.

Boy, was I wrong! Practically 95% of the customers here were new to the country, fresh off the boat, don't speak a word of english. This is fine and all, because you don't have to talk to them, but when you tell them your rules, they don't fucking understand! How are you supposed to deal with that? And they are so grabby and touchy feely - and the other dancers let them do it! I have seen the other girls dance, and they ALL grind the guys for the entire dance! What was even worse is when the guy buys a dance he has to buy a minimum of two, so you can't stop dancing for him if he offends you! And you can't choose your customers! You must go dance with whoever bought those stinkin' chips!

So I ask you, ladies. Is it better to work in a high milage bar giving $5 dances for a guaranteed minimum $1000 a week and NO hustling,

    OR

Making any amount, no guarantees, hustling your buttocks off?

I would much rather hustle and name my price. It's realatively easy to make $200, even on a bad night, for a less talented girl. Why work for one quarter of the money just to avoid saying "wannadance?"

P.S the girls working there were all soooo gorgeous! And most of them asian, too. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but don't men LOVE asian women?

what club is this??? that's insane. For Your Eyes Only does the chip thing (never worked there, but that's what I've been told), but I think they only take 10%....this place sounds nuts. I'd much rather hustle. I think personality is a big selling point for me...weird.

If you're looking for a good club in TO, I've been working at Paradise and I like it alot, and have been doing very well there.

I would never dance for $5. F*ck that. My club charges $20 per song. Each song is only about 3 1/2 minutes. I would be very leery about a club that "guarantees and promises" any amount of money.

Just for the record, I was out of there faster than Kate Moss through a buffet line, but I still think it's insulting, and taking advantage of the girls that DO work there! And the song lengths weren't 2-3 minutes, they were more like full length (sometimes 5 minutes) !

Sounds like a horrible place. I like to hustle the men that I would want to get close to. Does that sound weird? There's no way in [email protected] I would grind someone for $5 (Canadian).

    heh sounds a bit strange....

in players on the gold coast they have "hostesses" who go around and help you hussle. say your talking to a custy they come up, introduse themselves and hussle for you, ie put the hard word on the guys. it makes it SO much easier to get dances. they also come up to your custy at the end of his dance time, and MAKE them extend for longer i miss the hostesses...
