Default Fears For Girls In Japan

At 730pm Australian Eastern Standard time, I watched the news show '60 Minutes' with a story on Stripping in Japan. It was very frightening. Did any of you girls see it?

It told stories of girls working in clubs who have been raped and murdered, after going out with customers outside the clubs. This is scary stuff. Made me not ever want to go and work there. Too many connections with mafia.

There was also an interview with a reknowned cannibal who had killed and eaten a girl in France and preyed on young, caucasian, blonde haired, blue eyed girls. Then ate them, some sort of sick fantasy. He was sent over from France back to Japan, where his father paid big money to prevent him from going to prison. The story said that money in Japan will buy you 'everything' - girls, sex, power, police. The police are paid by the mafia NOT to get involved in these dramas.

The scary thing was that this cannibal guy was in the club and three girls gave him their personal phone numbers for potential outgoings/ meetings.

Girls, if you are working in Japan I hope you are being safe and smart. Apparantly girls are abused every night, there are hundreds of Aussie girls over there dancing and hostessing not to mention Americans, Brits, Canadians and more. It does not matter how much the guy offers you! When you are outside the club you are not protected by the club. The scary thing is that even when you ARE inside the club, you are not necessarily protected either. BE SMART, BE SAFE. Love to hear your opinions on this matter girls.

stephen rise, from 60min in aus emailed me while i was in japan asking to appear on his show as it was being filmed late november...lol he rung for an interview and everything.

then i never heard from him again, thought maybe hed decided to not do that show idea....but if he has....i wanna see it....damnit he got a free interview off me.said he was gonna be paying if the show aired. cheers for the missh

    btw.

dont believe everything you hear in the meaid.ffs. so some dude eats blond girls....theres 1000 times that many people out there, that will KILL anyone regardless of hair colour, you gonna be to scared to leave your house, cos at a random guess, every day you go outside and walk down the street, your potentially in contact with hmm say 5 people in ever 100 you pass walking, that have killed, or would kill given the chance, or have the chemical imbalances that trigger them to kill.

any job in any country is just as dangerous.
hell. my grandmother was the first prositute murdered on the gold coast in 84, has that stopped me DANCING just 100 meters from her place of death? nope. different circumstances, different people. SAME PLACE tho...

Whilst 60 minutes is well respected program is slightly better than other programs like "Today Tonight" and "A Current Affair". I have to have a little at this one! What a score that they got the cannibal... that REALLY made the story even more "interesting" LOL!

I just have to shake my head as it is more sensational-ist than actually real.. if you know what I mean. Whilst Japan does have an "underground" component so does the Gold Coast... am I unsafe here as I would be (supposedly) over there?

In the end, I'm un-safe regardless of where I dance however I choose not to live in fear.... as "predators" can smell fear and feed on that... I didn't "see" the actual news piece as you can read all about Japan in the various threads on this board (esp. mermaid's experiences).

All in all... Japan used to be a lucrative place to dance ... nowdays it is not. I can make just as much, if not more, if I did the same hours that dancers over in Japan are required to do here in Australia.

I saw it too. Althouh I thourght it was abit sensationalised, I took it somewhat seriously too due to my knowledge of some other not very nice stuff that has happened over the years, not nessesarilly in Japan. I was abit shocked at the niavity of some of the girls - the same stuff can happen and does happen all around the world. People need to have some common sense, especially when away from family and friends!
In one of the womens forums I frequent there have been some reports of organised rape parties in Japan where girls are selected from the clubs. Of course it's not going to happen to the majority of girls who go there to work, but on the other hand it's certainly not all made up.

It doesn't matter if it's in Japan, or any other country. If you are going to meet with someone outside the club or give them your personal info, phone # or whatever...you are taking a risk. Being arrested for prostitution is the least of worries. It is tough enough trying to stay safe in the club, much less outside the club. I do know of girls that meet with customers all the time--perfect strangers, it doesn't even have to be the same person in which somewhat of an established "dancer/customer" relationship exists. I'll never understand why these type of women feel their life or health is of so little value. It's a cold hard world and trust should consist of more than $$$.
