    Default Drink & Menu Bars

I noticed that this issue has never really been addressed or at least, I haven't seen it and I know that it really isn't a big issue or anything but what is the deal with the bars in the clubs? Some clubs advertise full service menus and other say drinks and snacks? Are they're clubs where custys can come in an order a fat sirloin while being entertained by dancers? What kind of foods/snacks are served at the bars in your clubs?

We used to have a cook outside and they would post small menu cards on the tables with burgers, hot dogs, chicken, salad, fries, etc...

We had it for a long time and they seemed to sell quite a bit, I'm not sure what ever happened to it.

It was nice for the girls too, we did not have to order from anywhere, just from outside.

The only thing we have now, is a snack machine that has cigs, mints, candy bars and chips, along with our full service bar.

I miss bars with food. Egads. MMmmmmmfood. Some of the best food I've ever had was at a topless bar in Albany, NY. The cook was amazing!!!

My club has a full menu, and food specials every day of the week. Its excellent, especially the Wednesday 1.99 steak and fries. It brings in lots of guys, some of them are cheapos though LOL!

I've worked in very nice upscale clubs that had the best food. The club I work in now just serves salted peanuts. Ugh, it's so disappointing.

We don't have food at our club either. However, we do have menus to some of the restaurants nearby and guys can order and have it delivered to the club.

What's so perplexing about clubs that have menus? It's another way to hang on to patrons.
And it's nice for the dancers to be able to get a normal meal rather than having to order pizza or something.

One thing I thought was pretty cool is, in Portland, there's some law that all places with liquor licenses have to serve food, so every damn bar (not just the strip clubs, but all bars) had at least a burger and fries available.

Most of the clubs I've worked in had a kitchen; I think there's only two clubs in Austin that don't serve food. In areas where you have larger "gentlemen's clubs" that have day and night shifts they seem to be more common.

My favorite strip club food ever was the chicken and feta pita sandwich at Expose in Austin. Yummy. Good nachos at the Yellow Rose, too.

Most of the clubs I've been to have offered food of some sort. I guess they figure any way to keep you there a little longer is a good thing, and if they can give you something to nibble on it's one less excuse to get up and leave.

Some clubs use food as a way to draw customers. One local club offers a free lunch from Noon to 3pm. (No comment on how effective this is. heh)

As far as menue items, they can vary. Some places it's simple bar food (burgers, fries, and micorwaveble items), other places have full gormet menues.

One place I visited a few years ago, Rachel's in Orlando is marketed as a steakhouse. When you walk in the front door there is a club to the right, and a dinning room to the left with while table cloths and the whole nine.

YEA i've always wondered this. My question is clubs with i guess u can say restaurant meals, do they at least have a separate area where the men are eating? or do they just eat at their regular table? if so how does this work? you approach them while they are eating???

Delilah's in Philly is also marketed as a "gentlemen's club and steakhouse". and the food is pretty damned good. the club i am at now has a kitchen, but no grill....so the items are limited for the time being. Oasis in philly also has a full service kitchen, also good. what was great was the cook making everyone breakfast if you worked dayshift. very nice.

the rule at every club i have worked at was NO, you were in no way to approach a custie while he was eating. some guys would eat right at the bar/tipping area so that's a bit different. i'm mainly talking about the guy sitting at a table having a steak. you were encouraged to stay with a guy while he was eating if you were sitting there, and perhaps he ordered you something as well.

You just wait until they're done before approaching them. Consider yourself the dessert server.

The two upscale clubs that I go to - Rick's and the Seville - around here offer full menus. The Seville's menu is really strange yet wondrous offering some offbeat choices like a Fried Egg Sandwich (does that sound upscale to you?). I haven't tried it all, but the limited food Ihave had there has been outstanding. And the price isn't all that terrible.

Most other places don't compare. I know that another more blue collar place is trying to get more food in. I heard the owner ranting and raving about getting shrimp in the place, saying that he was tired of the place being empty.

Do you really think that fried shrimp is going to fill the seats? Well it was a full moon when I heard this. Some days the scene is more surreal than others.

I've seen food service options as plentiful as having "gourmet" dining, to as spartan as having a vending machine with candy and snacks. Your standard "burger, fries, and appetizers" bar fare seems to be the norm around here though.

For a culinary experience, I'd just as soon go to Applebees or Buffalo Wild Wings. I've only had dinner once at a strip club as it seems eating isn't condusive to my purpose for being there, and almost anything you can find there can be found at places where food is the specialty.

Needless to say, it was a damned fine bacon cheeseburger.
