    Scar removal...

Does anyone know if there is a procedure out there to remove scars from stitches? I have a scar from like 5 years ago and I'm wondering if there is some sort of laser procedure or something to make it not visible.

My little sister had some nasty scars and she now swears by Mederma, I love it because I used it on new stretch marks and they are now gone.

I have a surgical scar on my hip and I have been using St. Ives Apricot Scrub to soften it.It works, but you gotta use it twice everyday.

Cianna are the scars that big? I got surgery in 2002 i think and they slowly faded to almost nothing. They are still there but no guys have ever noticed them until i tell them and they are like wow I had never seen it. and these are just regular outside guys not in the club.

My scar is like 3 inches long and it's a fine white line. No one else has ever pointed it out woth out me mentioning it first, but I dont really want it to be there at all! It only really shows up when I go tanning and my surrounding skin gets dark and the scar doesn't.

oh god, dont worry about it!! a small white scar isnt worth the worry!! maybe if it really bothers you, go to a skin center and see about lazer...weather or not it will be that affective is another story.

skin is ment to scar to a certain degree, and once it reachs that point i think its gonna be hard to make it totaly dissapear.

Thanks for that...I know I shouldn't feel as bad as I do about it. It's just that you can see that it was from surgery, cause it's a straight line and the tanning brings it out. But I will go to a skin doctor and see what they say...

I have a small round keloid scar on my chest...it drives me crazy!!! people rarely notice (or if they do, they don't say anything) but I'm very self-concious of it....I know how you feel....

let us know what the doctor says!

OMG mine is on my chest too, just like you Izzy. But mine was from an incision. Well I guess I could buy some good cover up in the right color...I will still go the the skin doctor though, and I'll let you guys know what the procedure is and how much it costs.

if it is raised and red scar steroid treatment might work just like it works on keloids.
