    Lost first regular... what happened?

Okay, my first real regular, for me that means someone who spends $500+ a night every time he comes to see me and comes in at least two or three times a month, decided he can't see me anymore. I'm wondering how often this happens to other girls, when you're being completely up front with them about not allowing anything to happen outside the club. They say of course, don't wanna get in your pants anyway, blah, blah, blah, everything goes swell until one day they decide that all the times they asked you out and you said no were full fledged rejections and they can't handle it anymore. The only thing I ever lied to this guy about was not having a boyfriend, and he even bragged about how I could dance for him all night and he never took it too far, meaning he never tried to touch my breasts or anything. Is this just par for the course or should I have done something to keep him around longer.

    It's par for the course.

Having a regular doesn't necessarily mean a guy has to spend $500 plus per vist. A regular is a guy who spends maybe $100-$200 once or twice a month and you are the reason he comes in the club.

Every guy wants more. You just get what you can as long as it lasts.

Everytime I have a regular I know that it is not a permanent thing, it will eventually go sour or peter out. After a while they realize that you aren't going to date them and that's that. I still have a few that come in from time to time over the last 5 years but they do not spend the same amount anymore, I accept it and don't mind.

I guess a part of me feels bad since he really seemed to have a crush on me, which sounds stupid I know, since I know it happens to all the girls, but this guy being the first one I've ever had that really took it hard that I wouldn't date him I started to question myself and how I conduct myself in the club. Where do we draw the line between making money and playing with someones head when it gets to a level that they are obviously emotionally attached? He was a really nice guy, not perverted at all, and at the end of the day it really did come down to money, which makes me feel horrible. Has anyone ever called it off with a regular, knowing you'll lose quite a bit of money, because you didn't want to start playing around with real feelings, not just the run of the mill lustful crap?

The shelf life on a regular varies.

In a way you should feel lucky that it sounds like he's just gonna fade away. Sometimes regs, no matter how well intentioned at first, can turn into a nuisance or even worse turn stalker.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. As Satara said, now you just have to go out and get another reg to replace him. Don't worry, they're out there.

If you happen to still see him around the club, you may wish to still go over and say hello and keep things friendly, as he'll still be likely to be good for the occasional drink and/or stage tip.

Don’t worry about it! You were honest and upfront.. nothing more you could have done. ALL regulars come and go.. there will be more.. and believe me.. he’ll find another girl to temporally fixate on!!

On the other hand, maybe you made it too personal? This is “fantasy” land. I agree we should never play with peoples head but also don’t get all sentimental thinking awwwww poor guy.. he likes me.. That just takes away from his arousal, I’m sure he can sense those vibes and it ends the fantasy..

I qacataully pissed off one of my regualrs by saying something rude to him when I was having a bad day. We avoided each other and gave each other dirty looks for months, while he came in and poured money into other girls' purses. SO finally I apoliogisesd to him, and months later he is a regular again! Just goes to show, in the stripper/custy realtionship, just like in any other human relationshitp, anything can happen!

Don't worry about the regular. they come and go. If you smile and are firendly to him each time you see him, it will keep both of you feeling more comfortable. Maybe someday he will decide he misses you and will have a few dances for old time sake. Or maybe he will bring a friend or a party into the club one night and recommend you to his buddy. You never know. But don't take it personally. One of the reasons guys go to strip clubs is fo rthe variety and to have acces to uncomplicated female companionship.

I, personally, do not like regulars...they just give me the creeps. However, I have friends who have regulars...and they are constantly filtering through...LOL. Some are regular for a month...some for YEARS...it just depends upon the personality!

Might be my oversimplistic, (and male), view but I guess you could be a regular for one of several reasons. Two of the most common must be:

    (a) They "wanna get in your pants" and feel by spending money they can meet you OTC and achieve their ambition.

    (b) They come into the club to see a dancer who is pleased to see them, and who will provide company and an enjoyable view for the time they are within the club. Beyond that they've got no expectations.

A type (a) regular must have a shelf life, meaning he gives up when he realises he's not going to get you to meet him OTC.

A type (b) regular will last for much longer, presuming that the dancer's affection on seeing him is genuine - and why shouldn't it be if the regular is making no demands of her.

I really appreciate everyone responding. He acted like Phil's type B the whole time until just recently out of nowhere he told me that he was tired of just being friends inside the club. Anyway, once again thanks for the responses =)

Yep...he was most likely an (a) in (b)'s clothing.

You'll find another reg...don't worry too much about their comings and goings...
