    Will I make friends?

Ok, so I'm still thinking about dancing, but me, being a friendly gal, am hoping that I will meet a girl who will "show me the ropes" of how things work at their club. I told a friend (nondancer) this and she was like, "Girls are competing against each other, why would they want to help you? You will have to figure it out for urself." Is this true???? I know that I am not their to socialize, but I would appreciate meeting a girl who might befriend me and give me advice about working at that specific club. Thanks for your replies!

I believe there's all kinds of girls in a club you just have to find the nice one i'm sure she's there somewhere.

From what I've noticed in my club, girls will be more likely to help you if you've never danced before because they're not that threatened by you. You're new, you don't have the moves yet, you probably won't steal our regulars, and we understand that you're freaking out a little.

We tend to be cautious toward the more experienced dancers.

ask a manager or the DJ to introduce you to a "nice" girl if you have questions. the easiest thing is to watch everyone. you will learn the most that way.

I wouldn't count on finding a friend to teach you the ropes. Girls won't want someone following them around or taking $$ from them (i.e. Cutsomers). SW is your best resource for learning how to hustle. Read the posts in the hustle hut forum and apply the skills at work. You should do well then. The other girls are your competitors...so I dought they want you taking their business. Just be cordial to the girls..but if you're working hard you won't be chatting it up with the girls in the locker room...you'll be working the floor!

When you're in getting ready, listen. A lot of times, you can pick up on which girls are the ones that talk shit, and which are there to just work and stay out of the way. And yeah, you're new so you've got a good chance of having a couple older girls take you under their wing for a little while. Try to pick up on as much as you can on your own though, and don't rely on other girls.

The ones who help me are the DJ, housemoms, dancers who see good hustle buddy potential, and best of all, the dancers who see me as non-threatening.

kewl responses,i agree with them all!
    ya never know.

Yes you will make a few really good lifelong friends in this business.

The dj and the housemom rely on what you make, they are not competing with you and will generally steer you in the right directions.

I believe that in every club, there are at least two people who will be willing to show you the ropes, pole tricks, ect. You just have to find them.
