    Period and Pill problem...help.

I dont know what it going on with my body?? I've been on the pill for a couple years and this has never happened before. I got my period in the last week of this months pill pack, I still have 5 more pills to take (5 days). And I have my period already! I've always gotten it after the pill pack was over for that month. Is this a bad sign girls?

are you taking the last pills for the month? The placebos? If it's not the placebo pills but the actual pills could be just break thru bleeding could be worse. call up whatever physician prescribed them and tell them what is going on

I may have many faults, but being wrong ain't one of them.

Yeah what she said! Seriously, most people don't know that the last set of pills (in a 4week pack) are basically just sugar pills. They have no hormones in them at all, that what starts your period. So if you are bleeding through them, no biggie. But if you are taking the actual working pills, adn your bleeding call your Doc.

Yeah it's not the sugar pills. I'm still on the actual real ones for a few more days. I'm going to the doctor...thanks girls!

I had a similar problem 2 years ago. I was on a pill called Trycyclin that I had been on for 3 years, it always worked for me until I started having breakthrough bleeding. It started the same way yours is, coming a few days early. In a few months however, my 'breakthrough bleeding' ended up beeing a month-long light period.

    ACK.

I went to the Dr's and they began prescribing me other Pills with different hormone levels, they insisted that that was the problem. They also told me that I had to wait 3 months on each of the different pills, because otherwise they couldn't tell wether they were working. ACK. Every pill was reacting to me the same, so 7 months later, a very frustrated me just decided to hoop the whole thing and go off the pill.

I went off it for one month, and then started taking Trycyclen again. Guess what? it worked... I think my body was just trying to tell me something. Think about it, if this pill worked for you for so long, why would it all of a sudden stop working?
Hope it works out for you...

Heh, I had this very same problem with my pills, ortho lo. I started taking them, and one month I would start my period with a week of active pills left..the next month I would start my pd on the sugar pills..the next month it started back with the active pills, and kept switching like that. I think it was just the brand I was on though. Eck.

Same here. I was working out so much I had to take the pills just to be regular. I went through three brands and a lot of breakthrough bleeding and late cycles before I became really regular. I currently take Loestrin, the level of hormones in there keeps me regular even though I don't work out as often as I used too. Change of brand is what I suggest. But consult OB-Gyn first.

I had the same problem it began exactly as you are describing but before long it turned into me having my period for 2 weeks of every 4 week pill cycle. How horrible! But the worst problem is that I started having severe abdominal pains and ended up having to go to the emergency room. After seeing a gyno the next week after a weekend of living on pain killers to deal with the pain my doctor determined that my body chemistry had changed and Ortho was making me sick. You always see abdominal pain as a risk on your prescription info but it really can happen. I'm on Yasmin now and everything is fine.

Also a friend of mine had a similar problem as me and based on the symptoms she described I thought her pills and body chemistry weren't getting along like what happened to me. But when she went to the doctor she had Chlamydia. I'm not saying you have an STD but you never know what it could be (cysts, etc.). So you should definitely get it checked out. Good luck!

It could be many different things that have caused it. I wouldn't worry too much.. Isn't it like every other without extra blood or clots?
When I was on the pill I would start early sometimes (now I'm on Depo) but it was usually because of stress and a change in my diet.
You haven't been using an extracurricular drugs have you? You don't have to say, but these will sometimes mess with a woman's system, especially the drug Extasy.
I have known dancers that will get their period two weeks after finishing up because of drugs.
Please don't lick me, it tickles..

If you missed a pill or are taking them at different times this can happen also. They say to ake them at the same time everyday or within a two hour time frame.

I take the Depo shot too and I love it. I don't even have my period anymore and don't have to remember to take a pill. I was on the pill for 15 years and had to switch pills every few years because of the normal changes in my body/hormone levels as I got older.
