You're close. Actually, it's 5'4" at 174 pounds that rates 30 on the BMI chart posted at the CDC, which is considered obese.Originally Posted by Paris
18.5 to 24.9 is classified as normal on the BMI by the CDC. In addition, there are other physical measurements besides weight and height that can determine one's health risks, such as percentage of body fat and waist circumference, but that's another discussion.Originally Posted by Paris
120 at 5'7" would be down on the borderline of normal and underweight. Granted, BMI is not the only factor in one's health assessment so that doesn't necessarily make being borderline underweight unhealthy, but neither is 23 or 24 necessarily unhealthy because it's at the upper end.Originally Posted by Paris
True. That's the $$$ bottom line, and the point of this thread is about making more money, but in discussing that, let's not confuse it with what may or may not be healthy. The range of BMI normal and what's most profitable in a SC may overlap but BMI normal probably has a wider range. Most dancers at a BMI of 23 may find it more difficult to make money without extras (extra smile/confidence/hustle - not those other extras), but they don't necessarily need to lose weight for health reasons.Originally Posted by Paris

Mystic Tan is awesome if you don't want to look like leatherface by your late 20's.
