Anyone had SureSmile?
I was just wondering if anyone here has had experience with SureSmile http://www.suresmile.com/. Apparently it is computer assisted orthodontics that give a faster result because the distance the teeth have to move is shortened. The orthodontist in town here offers them in those tiny tooth coloured brackets with the matching wire and the *brackets* I've seen on people are almost invisible. I am not a candidate for Invisilign and want desparately to fix crowding in my lower teeth. The are telling me I can be in and out in 8 months or less which is roughly half the time given me for traditional work.
I am curious about any problems or increased pain that anyone might have experienced. Thanks!

Re: Anyone had SureSmile?
Never heard of it but hope someone replies to you. There is a doctor near me so I may set up a consultation. Sounds good. I am interested in veneers but would rather do this if it is cheaper.

Yeah... I had perfect teeth until my wisdom teeth grew in... now the lowers bug me. It seems like a really new thing. I read about it in the premier issue of a mag devoted entirely to cosmetic procedures. The best part was the quote I received, even with the special almost invisible brackets, was less than $5k.

Re: Anyone had SureSmile?
That sounds like a good price. What is the name of the magazine and where can you find it? I saw one once in a doctors office and wouldn't mind ordering one.

Re: Anyone had SureSmile?
I found the magazine in a local drugstore... it was everywhere for a while and apparently the Premier issue. I lent it to my friend so I don't have the name in front of me... something along the lines of "Plastic Surgery magazine" I'll get it back and post the info in a separate thread when I do.
As for the price, yeah... I had been quoted much much more to go a route where I'd do regular braces for a couple months and then do Invisilign... something like $10K... wtf is that? To fix crowding fergoshsakes!
