    Default Hair Question

I am thinking of starting dancing again. I danced for a few months in Australia but back then I had long, blonde hair. Since then I have cropped my hair really short, and although I know I could get away with it, I would be much more comfertable dancing with long hair. Is it acceptable to wear a wig provided that it is real hair and realistic looking? Should I wear this to my audition?

    Thanks.

I guess it would depend on the club you're at, but I've seen several girls wear wigs. One girl was nearly bald underneath and while her wig looked completely fake, she got away with it. The club is dark.

Another girl just didn't like fixing up her hair so she wore a very natural wig.... I didn't even realize it was fake until I saw her putting it on one day.

There's a couple girls at my club that wear those hair clips. It looks really good even though you know its a clip- I don't really think the guys look that close.

are there many short haired dancers? i have short hair, not too short...buh not long at all. lol. i know i've read in magazines that like 75% of men prefer long hair over short or something. is it likely that girls with short hair will make less money or anything? juss curious.

I think men like long hair although...Ive seen this one girl work short hair and I mean short short....almost guy like...anways she made very good money. But, she also hustled too and was very much into her physique.

Ive also seen this one girl...not very pretty out of the dark though. She had a fake clip on ponytail and she wore it everyday very seldomly w/o it. It gave her confidence I guess.
If your going w/ a hair piece or wig ...just make sure it looks nice.
OH yea..I heard that washing your feux hair in downy and water keeps it soft .

I've worn like 5 different wigs at my club! I've also gotten extensions- or wear those pony tail clip on thingies. And sometimes I just wear my short hair! I say go with what you are most comfortable with.
One wig I wore for about 2 months- customers had NO idea it was a wig... and that thing cost me only 30 bucks lol.

I wear them quite often. I have some short ones and long ones. I have the purple one natalie portman wears in closer. a short black one like catherine zeta jones wears in chicago and then a long platinum blonde and black ones like natalie is wearing in the avatar above.

I do this to create different looks. Out of 4 shifts Ill wear wigs on half of them. People sometimes know with the more out there ones but they often dont care.

How do you keep your wig from falling off? Has that ever happened to anyone before? Sorry, if it is a dumb question- I have no experience with wigs.

Honey...wigs suck. Guys can usually tell...and you're face and head will be sweating from it. I tried a wig once and I made through one hellish night. Then I got Hair clips..so easy they don't slide around like a wig and guys can't tell you're wearing one. Go to this site and get one. Otherwise just wear your normal hair. When I had short hair a lot of guys liked it and I made good money.
