I love to entertain, if I am having fun on stage then I feel like the customers are having fun too.
I love having the power to control the feel of a room, I definately notice a change in the atompshere when I walk off stage!
Yeah I do, I feel it's a chame for me to show off a little. I don't feel like I can do laps or even ask for them unless I have been onstage at least once already.
But if you are asking if I would rather dance onstage other than being in the back doing laps, then I want to do the laps 1st.
Kitana

I personally rather stage dance then do lapdances. I can be more creative, I have more room to actually dance, and honestly, lapdances get old to me. I can only fend off grabby dudes and try not to touch their groin with my body while still being able to keep his small attention so much....
But that's just me.

Yup, stage is fun. But damn, you just can't make much money a dollar at a time. If I made as much money off of it as I do lapdances, I would be very very happy. But instead I will pay to stay off if I'm busy.
I absolutely love the stage. Its right up there as a job perk with being around hot naked girls every night. But that's all it really is, a few minutes where I can have fun, make a small amount of money, and advertise my skillz.
I can't stand side stages though. They are usually too tiny to do much on, and somehow designed so that customers can easily ignore them........

I 100% agree with you on that part...I'm so happy, I thought I was the only one who felt that way. I honestly don't really feel in my work mindset until I have done a stage set. Another thing I love about the stage is that it's a GREAT advertisement for how your dances will be. If you can do a good stage show, guys will be asking you for dances when you get off, which equals less work since you already have your customers lined up.Originally Posted by kitana

I looooooooooooove stage dancing. It's my favorite thing in the whole wide world. I love the feeling of power I get from it... knowing that I'm in control, seeing the customers faces in awe, and knowing that I've got em in the palm of my hand. But the best part of it is the great big round of applause and 3 or more custys asking you if you wanna dance for them right after you're done!! When that happens, I know I kicked ass!!

I'm with Kitana and Brunette Bombshell, I cannot go ask for dances unless I've been on stage. I feel like it's my advertisement and I absolutely love the attention I get up there. Yes, it sucks bad when no one is tipping, but I still have fun anyways. I look at it like it is my time to entertain myself when no one is tipping.

Yes,that is my favorite part of the job.

Loved it. Fucking loved it!!!!! Nothing beat the stage for me. Wow the feeling that all eyes are on you while a dancer was giving her all doing a ld while the guy and i made eye contact, WOW!! That feeling of power was a high, i loved it!!!!

Ditto. I'd rather not go on stage at all.Originally Posted by tampafldancer

I love stage, but I wish more guys paid attention. It's just not that profitable where I work.
For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been and there you will long to return.
I love the stage! I love to perform and I can't wait to get up there and do my pole tricks. I get a work-out from it regardless of anyone is watching or not. I perform with energy no matter what and I have fun doing it. It's my "physical zone". I truly "feel" my music and I get into it big time. I time certain moves with my music. My dj always says...."poetry in motion"... The only time I complain about stage is if I have been up more than 10 times in a night due to girls not showing up. By that time, I am just exhausted. That's rare though so......![]()
I agree with all the above who said they can't work the floor until they've been on stage. I'm the same way. I do love being on stage tho. That's my favorite part of the job. My stage time is my commercial. That is my time to convince the guys I have the moves to give them the best lap dance they've ever had. I'm really into my music and I think that shows when I dance too.

I used to say that about one dancer a lot--and I meant it--but she didn't like it, so I stopped.Originally Posted by VADEN

The lack of attention paid to the stage is a big drawback to the emphasis on lapdancing and extras that sometimes go with it. The club I worked in that had the most extras also had the least attention paid to the stage, which bothered me far more than the shit going on in VIP. Even there, with the right girl, you could see the dazed expressions and total concentration of an audience that was being dominated by the sight of her in action. But it was an uphill battle at times.
Go look at the customer-oriented websites and see the derision heaped on stage and 'air' dancing by the assholes, if you doubt me--though, as always, there are many worthy exceptions to be found amongst the members.
If a dancer doesn't like the stage, I always feel like it's because her DJs haven't been treating her right, and do whatever is in my power to make a difference. It really helps almost any dancer to have the entire place riveted to her performance, and when this happens, she'll have a line waiting for VIPs. I have been fortunate enough to have seen this exact thing happen with at least three SW members. But if a woman really doesn't want to go up there, I don't want to force her--it kinda defeats the purpose.

I love the stage--especially the pole. Spinning around the pole feels like flying. I don't give a damn if nobody is watching me up there (they usually didn't anyway) i could just get into my music and have a blast. A brief little recess and trip to the playground before I have to return to the hustle. I had to quit my stage gig and am just working in a lap dance bar at the moment--it is NO fun! It has only been a week and I am jonsing for my stage already!

Being on stage is the best part of the job to me. It's how I get the majority of my dances, and it gives me this strange sence of power. I especially like it when the guys up there are fun.
I also can feel the music and time it so it "flows together" with my moves. It brings out my sexy side, which is good, because at times I can be a little shy when working the floor.

This is why I love being a DJ.Originally Posted by bambiblue
