    Default Looking for props

I am looking for some props for different shows. I have seen features have them and I would love to get them but can never find them.

    1. sexy shower: I have seen many types and I would like one to be able to have one that isn't that heavy and can feed the water maybe or something. not too sure.

    2. Champagne Glass: I love the shows I have seen with this and I can't find them.

So if any one knows of any of these that I can find and buy or if some one is selling these, that would be great help.

thanks for your feedback. And I have checked ebay.. but I may have missed it.

    Thanks

Lexi, you might wanna contact XXXena at XXXena.com Her prop guy Lance is one of the best in the biz. He's a little pricey, but he's really good.

Maybe shoot an email to this site:

    www.20thcenturyprops.com

They rent out 7' tall plexiglass champagne glasses, maybe they know where to buy them or if they sell them now and then. Best of luck, let me know if you find them anywhere!

Where are you planning on putting these props? Like, what part of the stage?

retired dancer how long were you at the club? when did you work at the club? what was your name? I need to know who you are. We have had many shows with both items in it. they have been placed on many parts of the stage.

I think the martini glass idea would be pretty cool if you can find one. If I were you I would want pictures of the show then

are you planning on these props for a feature show or just a regular stage rotation??

Im asking because the set up and the breakdown/cleanup time needed are a nightmare and would kill the momentum of a room.

Sorry,my bad,i consider everytime an entertainer goes on stage as a "show".
But either way,my only intent was to point out the nightmare the props you are talking about bring with them.
For the glass your going to need stage hands to move it,water to fill it,water clean up and removal of the glass after your show etc. This all takes time and extra people.
By the time the stage is cleaned and the dj finally gets a girl back up on stage, the momentum has been sucked out of the room.(not what a feature show is designed to do for the bennys of the club and the house girls.Great for the feature maybe, but it sucks for everyone else)

If this is something you have already planned out, kewl,im just trying to help you see it from many angles because of the actual cost for these two props.

Heres a few more things to consider before you spend the money for it,just in case you may or may not have thought about it yet.
This isnt a new idea, its been done before.
Alot of clubs wont let you use the glass or water on thier stages.(why most features dont use them)Insurance, water damage, water clean up,etc are the main reasons why.
A feature would need a truck,or a Uhaul to transport it,and always find people to carry it in and out.Your show is now dependent on others.(your tip % just went up to get some doorguy to carry in a 7 foot glass, its not just a trunk or two.A hidden cost or you might have to carry it OUT your self,or stand around and wait till someone gets to it)
You would have to do alot of shows to get a return on your investment.
Before that would happen(from what i have seen)you will get very tired of the whole mess, for the reasons i listed above, then the problem becomes, what the fuck do you do with a 7 foot champagne glass?
From first hand exp,it cant be used as a bird feeder. The neighbors complain and the city will make you take it down.
IMO these props work great in a club that has them installed with pre set saftey measures for the water and the girls walking around in 5 inch+ heels.

Features and traveling entertainers are "MOBILE",those props are "ANCHORS".

Maybe some of the full time features on the site can join in and you can ask them why they dont have these props.
A good idea might be to ask the dj's here also, how many feature shows have they seen, they see alot of them.

Im guess they will say that the "Glass"has been replaced with the blow up kiddie pools and thats what most features use with thier water shows.

The person who is going to get rich...
The guy who invents a blow up kiddie pool in the shape of a champagne glass.

    Oh well still looking!!!
    AHHHHHHHHHHHHH
An entertainer with a vision on a mission!!!!!!!
    Most kewl!!!
I hope you pull it off or get real close to it.
If you dont have the music picked for it,stop on by the music forum,im sure the dj's there can give you more then just "splish splash"as song suggestions.
