    Sad Saggy Ass Fiasco!

Ladies, ladies, I need some advice! I'm a bit older than most of you, 34 to be exact. I've had a squishy ass since I was about thirteen or fourteen and while I'm not overweight at all (okay maybe 7 pounds or so) I have a lot of jiggly cellulite on my ass and upper thighs.

I desperately want to start pole dancing for my (second) husband, figuring this way I won't have to find a third one day! No, really, I just want to get myself in a shape I can be proud of.

Is there anyone out there that used to struggle with a jiggly ass and has succeeded in toning it up enough to not feel ridiculous letting people see it?

I am pale and pasty too, which doesn't help. So much for being Italian.

Please, ladies, I desperately need advice because it's either this or I slide downhill into middle-aged housewife in a big t-shirt and bleach spotted sweatpants.

BTW Got my pole the other day!

I have the same problem. I'm built like a pear. I have been working with a trainer and have lost a little in my thighs and butt but it takes a lot of hard work and dedication. It's only been a couple of months with my trainer so check with me 6 months from now and I'll tell you how happy I am with the results. Unfortunately a lot of it is genetics but I refuse to let that make me destined to not have a firm butt!

Thank you chocolate kiss for your advice. Running I suppose would just burn off body fat, so perhaps the reason slimly built girls sometimes tend to get saggy asses is because our asses are truthfully smaller than most peoples and it's just a bunch of fat back there.

    Great.

I took my first Tonalin today. (Fingers Crossed)

Thank you ladies for your advice

I suggest run in the morning, first thing when you get up. Then in the evening, do Pilates. Get their tape/dvd, or go to one of their classes if you're going to the gym. And if you are a member at a gym, do light weights 2-3 times a week.

All of that should do! Good luck.

I also reccommend cardio, and do either Pilates, or my personal fav, Yoga.

The squats, pilates, and yoga are all great ideas. Also run upstairs if you don't have any around (no local high school stadiums) just put your treadmill on a steep incline. Also don't completely shun lowfat dairy you need to have something back there .

This might seem like a weird suggestion, but try weight training (like doing the circuit of machines at the gym, weights, lifting) it is a way to bulk out a skinny frame without getting too buff (women have a harder time getting "cut" looking due to our hormones.) Your glutes will firm up and your hindquarters will round out with muscle fullness. Also use some supplements to speed up the process, do a little homework to pick the right ones for you.
I regret stopping gym visits (I softened up and now look.....like Gumby) so this is advice I would take myself.
PS I'm proud of my flat ass...it means I work it off at whatever I do!!! J/k!!!!

I have been doing the same workout routine since christmas break...I've been working out since last year seriously...and I have noticed changes in my body since i changed my routine in december. I definitly suggest squats, leg press. straight leg dead lift realllyy works for ur hams. and definitly run, preferably with Incline... goodluck!

LOL I think the makers of Tonalin should make a donation for all the business they have been getting from us.

My thighs are firming up some now and I can feel soreness a lot of times after I do squats and lunges. My trainer told me I should get at least 300 minutes of excercise a week and do a lot of cardio because that really helps to burn fat. Then the muscle gets bigger and sort of fills out the flab. I took before pics and will take some afters at 6 months or a year and MAYBE I'll post them as inspiration for others if it really works well enough that I'm not embarassed to show my booty on here!

You will need to lower your overall bodyfat percentage(nutrition and energy work) and build up your glutes.

Squats and deadlifts my friend. Do a hamstring exercise as well. Use weights as part of a fullbody routine to build up all your muscles. One of the best way to lose fat is to build muscle, as that raises your metabolism. You will burn more calories simply existing with more muscle on your frame.
