    I started using Tanolin to get rid of cellulite. It has totally and completely worked. Problem is I was at kind of a thin weight before, and now I'm just out right too skinny.

    I had a much fuller ass, which I loved, and I want back. I think its because I've lost too much weight(5'5 108lbs) but before I never noticed saddle bags, and I guess I lost weight from every where but there because they are pretty obviouse now, but they were not visible before.

    I don't want to stop taking Tanolin because I don't want cellulite to come back, especially right before summer, but I want to put some weight back on, and even out my saddle baggs as well as get my ass back. So I need some advice on how to gain weight. Thanks for the help.

    Heh heh, you're gonna have fun. Drink alcohol more and sit around. Eat chocolate candy. Have thick milkshakes, burgers with cheese, creamy soups, hell, creamy everything. Steaks. I am sooooo jeaous! I'm trying to lose weight.......I wish I could gain some!
    You can also hit the gym to turn the rich food into muscle weight, which is better all around.

    I think I had a similar problem with the Tonalin. When I am working out and eating light, and taking the Tonalin, a small ring of fat around my lower belly and on top of my hips becomes noticeable. Right now I can't see it because I havn't been working out in the last few weeks.

    Fawn, I guess that is your problem area, as the lower belly is mine. I think your best bet is lots of protein shakes, protein rich food, and "good fatty" foods like wheat pasta and stuff cooked with olive oil. I don't know though, but when I want to gain weight (yeah right, never!) I hit Crack in a Box late night, always seems to plump me up immediately.

    Be carefully here, if you are skinny fat (thin with cellulite) then it has alot to do with the foods you are eating. You are trying to put on weight yes, however be VERY careful with what you eat to do it.

    It takes an extra 500cals a day = 3,500 cals a week to gain 1lb (opposite is true for loosing)
    Here are a few things I would recommend:

    -One of the easiest ways to add extra calories/fat without having to consume copious amounts of food is to get some essential fatty acids... something like flaxseed oil or 'Udos' Blend. You can use it everywhere: In shakes, on salads, on veggies, with oats etc.
    Just 3 tablespoons will give you 40gms of fat and about 360 in a way that will also support you body.
    - Nuts and nut butters (unsalted and preferably raw and soaked)
    - Weight gain protein shakes (be cautious of ones with too much added extras) or homemade smoothies.
    - Eat more whole grains; brown rice, whole wheat bread, potatoes, yams for some examples. Oats are great too! (A personal favourite I have a yummy oats breakfats recipe if you want it?)
    - Try to avoid ‘white carbohydrates like white rice, white flour etc as these products do not contain any nutrients and actually take vitamins and minerals out of your body in digestion. The body has to use up more energy to digest them then they actually give back.
    - Full fat soft cheese such as cottage cheese and quark are great, as well as full fat yoghurt. When purchasing yoghurt buy a plain unsweetened type and be sure that it has ‘live’ or ‘active’ cultures on the label. This way you will be giving your stomach a healthy treat also. Once you are at your ideal weight you can switch to a low fat version.
    - Eat 5-6 times a day
    - Eat right through till before bed
    - Eggs with the yolks
    - Use a source like fitday.com to calculate what your calories are, like I say you want to get an extra 500 cals a day from GOOD foods to gain about 1lb a week.
    - You may also want to think about getting some digestive enzymes to take with meals to help your body digest the food. If you have been eating too little it is not unusual to have a few probs when you start eating more (bloats, cramps, gas all that fun stuff! )

    Good for you for realising when you got too skinny in a "skinner is better" society!

    I've been on a low carb work out frenzy..I've lost 25 lbs! I do have 10 more to lose before I'm where I want to be, do you all think I should try this tanolin? Where can you find it? I need a kick to push me out of my plateu.

    In my opinion unless you really are super skinny like sick skinny then i would personally enjoy while it lasts eventually i'll be getting older and bigger so the smaller i can be now the better for me. I wont' always be this small.

    no, being too skinny sucks ass.


    im down to 53kgs, and im 177cm tall....thats about 120pounds and 5foot 10!! i have bones jutting out left right and centre...and i eat RUBBISH!.

    just ate chocolate as i was readin this post, a normak diet for me in a weeks is-3-5 eat outs, ie mac donalds,kfc etc... 3-7 chocolate bars and 2 family bags of lollies,uhh some normal food thrown in there for a lil balance... oh and about 9 bags of burger rings! (chips) i get them for work anyways, you get the picture...


    i eat crap, and am still a skinny rake.
    yeah i know i should be happy.
    im not.

    in japan i put on 7kilos, got some strach makrs and cmae back to australia, everyone commented on how good i looked, healthier and happier etc...i was all smoothed out perfectly for the first time in my life, heh even my boobs were a lil bigger naturally perfect.

    then i get back to nz...within 2 months, i have lost that 7, plus an additional 4...NOT GOOD. my diet hasnt changed either except for the drinking bit ( i dont drink...except in japan!)

    meh.

    its not so great being skinny.

    Ihave had the same problem lately due to being off the pill, stress, and not keeping sodas in the house. I am not even going to sayhow much I weigh because yall will think I have an eating disorder but I swear i don't . Tonite I ate enchaladas and rice and beans and am trying to put some more weight back on. Loosing too much weight/ being too skinny is scary and yes it does suck.

    I know how you feel mermaidnz. I've always had this problem, and find it extremely difficult to gain weight despite the fact I eat, eat and eat! I eat plenty of protein, (and vegetables) but I also have issues with constipation. Ive started doing weights now, and I'm also considering water aerobics to gain some bulk. Skinny ain't sexy

    otb, paris and i are reffering to being skinny naturally, and how its NOT cool.

    dont over do the tonilon....btw wtf is that stuff?? pills or somthing?
