    Default Body Changes with Aging?

I don't think this is only a female issue, since I discussed body shape changes with a guy pal my age and he said he's become thicker (not fatter) in the past few years.
I remember a few years ago I was always 5-10 pounds thinner. Now I'm shaming myself by trying to squeeze into old clothes that barely fit. I've been trying to slim down for 1 whole year but it seems the poundage doesn't want to go. My idea is that my body held on to extra weight because of peak childbearing years being now.
Has anyone had this happen? Have you sucessfully lost "stubborn" weight?

I have gotten bigger hips and boobs with my age. Really at 21 i was a stick. I have a few older pictures in the gallery (skinny) and i love the way i look now. I did not think i would, but....Man i feel like a woman!!!!!

I think I look better at 32 than I did at 22 but I still wish I'd tried harder at 22! I have always had trouble with my thighs and butt and never been able to lose it. I'm giving my intense workouts with my trainer a year to see if it helps and then I'm sucking it out. I started gaining weight at 16 when I starting hanging out with my friends and eating junk foods and that is when I learned that even though I'm a very petite built person I CAN gain weight!

Definitely more curvy after having 2 kids, but surprisingly enough, I like my body better now too. Like Pamela said, more womanly.

Agreed. I don't have kids but I'm much happier with my body at 33 than at 23. I was skinnier then, but I like my curves better now. Plus I've learned how to work those curves!

When I was in my mid-20's (no kids yet) my body did change some--got bigger around the ribs and back, a little curvier in the hips. I was in the Army then, and in the best shape of my life. Feet also got bigger. I jsut assumed at the ime that it had something to do with my age, like the lines that were jsut starting to form around my eyes. Maybe t his is happening to you?

I swear now at 26 that I'm more of a woman than I was when I first started around age 23. It isn't just my body that has changed... I just feel more like a woman now than a "girl".

I must admit that when I first "heard" about how it is recommended for a female to not have a breast augmentation until she is at least 25 years of age due to not yet being fully grown (as such)... I didn't totally believe it... now I do.

The body I had at age 23 is not the same body I have at age 26. I swear it has changed (and I'm not fat by a long shot) into a more womanly body. It just feels like it has...

The lines can be worry-some however I'm not that concerned about them. My "thing" (the way I market myself) is that I'm natural thru and thru -- no boob job, no surgeries, no procedures, no tattoos, natural looking make-up... and so on...
