    Default favorite razor brand

    hey ya'll,
I'm thinking about changing my razor brand. I'm currently using three. So here's my input, and I'd welcome everyone else's.

The intuition razor is great for non work days because it makes shaving really fast, but it's not that great for knees or the coochie shaving. Also, after a week or so, the soap section is too run down, so they don't last long.

The venus razor is good for legs, and for most of the bikini area, but it doesn't get my legs as smooth as I'd want them to be.

And there's a Gillette that I've liked using for a long time, it has the flat oval handle with the round aqua see through part in the handle. They've been good, but they nick me more than I'd like, and more importantly, I haven't seen the heads in the stores as much lately.

Anyways, let me know. I'm looking for smoothness, durability, and price.

Oh, and P.S. krystels.biz is having a bunch of sales on shoes and lingerie- I know that's confusing the post, but I didn't want to post another one. I got boots for $19!!!

The Gilette you described is my favorite. I only get nicks if the blade is really dull (like several weeks old). However, I once tried generic replacement blades and I got big-time nicks. I haven't had an issue getting Gilette replacement blades for it though, I usually find them at the grocery store or Ulta.

Yeup Gillette is the best one for me. I still get ingrowns once in a blue moon but most of those times I forgot put more soap on it.

Im Venus all the way!! It's the best for me, but then again I dont have a lot of hair on my legs... The thing is, I think it's different for everyone. How about laser removal?

My favorite razors are the Mach 3 turbo's with the Mach 3 blades. I can't use a lot of razor brands because my hair grows back so fast and it fairly thick. I'm going to look into the electrolosis or lazer removal or something. I'll spend more on razors in my life then I would for the procedure.

Ditto... Although I discovered that the original mach 3 works just as well as all of its successors.. And they have a new crazy on out too.. Any mach 3 will work perfectly, just DO NOt use it first on the cooch, it is VERY sharp (perfectly sharp) and the cooch doesn't need that kind of a workover. It works for quite a few uses as well..
Venus just never did it for me and iintution just wasn't brave enough.
TRy the Mach and I think you'll love it to death.
Please don't lick me, it tickles..

I used top use Venus...worked fairly well (I have very thick body hair, and have to shave daily). I now use the Mach 3.....I use TONS of shaving cream too. Shave my legs, pits, THEN cooch. And only use a blade for 2 or 3 days max. I get a super smooth shave with the Mach 3...just pretty expensive, going through blades like I do.

Venus Divine. Noxema just came out with these little mini razors for bikini area. Small to give a more precise shave. I have not tried it yet but seems like it would work good to shape landing strip if you have one.

I used those mini Noxzema razors years ago...tried them again recently...they don't give a smooth shave, like I like. Good for a decent bikini line trim, but not so good for shaving the whole area.

I like the Schick or Gilette Soleil disposable triple-bladed razors. I have a body hair thing too and go through razors like Sherman through Atlanta.

I mostly use men's razors. They seem to get the hair so much better than the women's razors. Right now I am using just disposable daisy razors. Eh. Ill switch back to mens after I move

Those Noxema mini razors suck. Don't waste your money. I like the Venus Divine. The intuition was actually pretty good on the cooch but the refills are really expensive.

My derm told me that real trick with razor blades is to use them only once or twice. This can be expensive if you buy the pricy ones so I don't. I find that if I buy the cheap ones and use them only one or two times I get just as close of a shave and alot less irritation. I have very sensitive skin and get irritation easily and since I have switched to using the blade only one or two times I almost never get razor burn anymore.

Sheik Intuition is my miracle! By far the BEST SHAVE I have ever had! No other razor got me as smooth as the intuition, and it's so easy to use you just can't go wrong. No more bothering to make sure you have shave gel.

And regarding the price: each blade lasts me about 3-4 shaves. Costs about $17 for 6 cartriges at Wal-Mart. So it breaks down to approximately $1 per shave. Some of you may think it's expensive, and it is compared to the other brands. But for the easiest, hassle free, smoothest, closest shave ever I think one dollar isn't too bad. Besides, we waste more money than that on much more useless things, like shave gel, or buying your own drinks at work!

Wow. Oldie thread! Anyway, I'm weird..I like those mini razors (which seem t/b discontinued) I saw some on Forever21 if they're still avail. I really only need to shave underams/crotch & they're perfect for that.
I also saw a kind of mini razor in a case, but bigger than the ones mentioned above. It goes for 9.99 & is around I just can't think of the name. Haven't tried it.

These: the only mini razors I could find http://www.forever21.com/Search/Sear...romsearch=true

Haven't used 'em yet, but I got the last two at a store, the clerk said they sell out a lot. They are usually avail. online. I also got some that are meant for eyebrows at Walmart in the cosmetic section, it said on pkg they could be used on body but I had trouble using them

Has anyone tried Harry's? I usually use a basic Mach-3, and am happy with it, but I'm always looking for ways to give Proctor & Gamble less of my money.

I love disposable razors, I have used venus tropical disposables for years, I love them because they get such a smooth shave. I use them 3 - 4 times max. I like that they are different colors back when I used to shave everywhere I would use one for my legs, one for my bikini line, and one for my armpits.

Now I have discovered shick hydro silk sensitive, and it gives me such smooth legs. I thought venus were the best. A note though, shaving cream/foam/oil really really matters on how good a shave you get to.
