    Default Tooth Fairy

I typically leave about 3 dollars plus one of those gold Sacagawea dollar coins (I got a stack of them several years ago for these occasions). When my son was 5 or 6 I would also leave some sort of trinket, like a little compass.

What did you get for your teefers......and what do you leave for your kidlets?

I always got a dollar from the Tooth Fairy, and thought that was the best!

For my kids, they got $5 underneath their pillows. They also got a "Tooth Fairy Basket" at the foot of their beds. It was filled with coloring books, crayons, new toothbrushes, toothpaste and a few other little things.

My son always cared the most about his new toothbrush, he's like me and brushes his teeth 3-4 times a day, sometimes more. My daughter cared more about the coloring book & crayons (She's the "arteest" of the family).

I'll be doing the same when Delia's teef start falling out. The look on their faces after the Tooth Fairy visited was priceless.

Jeez.......all I got was 3 quarters. I stopped giving my teeth to the fairy after getting screwed on payment and now I have a little box with about 15 teeth in it! Maybe I should get creative and make some little stud earrings out of them and give them away as sentimental gifts at Christmas..............

    LOL

Ok so im old,im from the genration that only got a quarter.

For my kids,i get them a coin from a coin shop, the older the better.
When they wake up in the morning,I tell them the story of how the tooth fairy messed up and delivered the wrong coin and how they got Annie oakly's or Anne Franks or princess Di.(I got all girls)It always leads into a story and while they are young, they even pull the coins out a few times wanting the story again so they save them.
When they get older, they save them because they think they will be worth alot of money lolol

You should add a poll to this thread Mojo to see how many parents save the tooth!
lol Im guilty of saving the first.

Ha! I got punched in the mouth. "See you little shit - there is your tooth!"

(Actually it was a quarter or something like that. My mom and dad loved me.)

I'm old school too. I always got a quarter under the pillow.

Now with my kiddos they have their own tooth fairy pillow that has a little tooth pocket to hold the lost tooth in it. I put one of the gloden dollars in their pillow too M&M. After they loose a tooth we go to Wal-Mart and buy a new tooth brush and "special" toothpaste. (The princess kind or Shreck; whatever's popular at the time)

I really do like using the old coins, LOL I'll have to try that. The youngest is like me; she likes old used stuff, she'll get a kick outta it.
