OMG that is so sad, and she is sooooo pretty.
Aut Pax Aut Bellum
Either Peace Or War
Wow. That is sad
I hope they find her soon, and that she's alright.
You know...if I was this girls parents I would be pissed that they posted these pics of her. Like anyone is going to recognize someone who is wearing stripper gear in regular clothes!!
Other than that...I have a bad feeling about it and I hope I'm wrong...but, it's been to long. :*(
May God bless her family and may the healing begin soon.
Just awful. I hope that all of us here will be keeping this girl in our thoughts and/or prayers.
Sadly though, I must agree with Venus that the odds are not in a positive favor for such an incident.
Wow this is horrible. This really makes you think twice about your safety level!! They don't have any leads or anything????
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
^^^ Exactly PD, that's what I was thinking. I'm sure her parents are upset about the pics, but you have to give the agency/club credit for trying! Some of the clubs I have worked at wouldn't give two shits about what happened to any of the girls there.
I hope she's ok.
Kitana

Yup, ain't that the truth. Actually, I can think of a few clubs that would go to great lengths to deny such an event actually might have occurred ... i.e. putting out a 'cover story' that she ran off with some rich tycoon type ...I'm sure her parents are upset about the pics, but you have to give the agency/club credit for trying! Some of the clubs I have worked at wouldn't give two shits about what happened to any of the girls there.
Yeah, that's true. I came close to being assaulted and had my car damaged as an agency dancer, and I knew if something happened to me, no one would say anything.....
Girls, we have to look out for eachother.

That is really sad, unfortunately there are sickos out there out to get strippers at any cost. Be careful!
She used to dance at my home club, although she left several months ago. I took some dancers out to dinner last night in Georgetown and this was the first thing we discussed. Everyone is really very worried about her. It's been widely reported on the local news.
Thanks for posting the link and information.

I saw this just now while reading the postyou need registration so I'll post it here.

2 Held in Woman's Suspected Killing

Two men were taken into custody last night in connection with the disappearance of a 24-year-old Rockville woman who was last seen 10 days ago, Montgomery County police said.
The police said they believe that the woman, Emily Cagal, was killed late in the evening of March 2 and that early the next day a large chest -- which may have contained her body -- was taken from her apartment on Grosvenor Place. Her body has not been found.
Montgomery police said Antoine Levelle Gatewood, 33, of Prince George's County was charged with first-degree murder in the case.
The second man was not named because as of late last night he had not been formally charged, Montgomery police said. A statement said they were investigating him as a possible accessory after the fact.
In their statement, Montgomery police said surveillance video from Cagal's apartment house showed her 2005 Acura MDX driving into the building's parking garage early March 3, after they believe she was killed.
They said that items, including the chest, were removed from Cagal's apartment, and that the SUV took property that belonged to her out of the garage.
The SUV was found Tuesday in Northeast Washington, according to police. Cagal's other property has not been found, county police said.
Gatewood's address was listed by Montgomery police as in the 500 block of West Mount Lubentia Court in Largo.
Montgomery officers served a search warrant in that area yesterday evening and found an explosive device in the foyer of a house, according to a spokesman for the Prince George's fire department.
The device, which the spokesman said appeared to be a pipe bomb, was deactivated. As a precaution, 10 nearby houses were evacuated for a time.

wow , thats really sad. I feel bad for her family.....
this jordan girl and emily are the same person??
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Her real name is Emily. Her working name is Jordan.
Has anyone seen any updates? I haven't heard anything, and I just did a search. Nothing new.
Jordan is her stage name, that's why the first site, a dancer agency, used it. that's what I gather, anyway. Poor, poor girl.
"I still have my name
I still have my face
I have not run away from home
Doesn't seem so long
If I now embrace
Every single thing I've never known"

It's very unfortunate that this had to happen. Her family must be devastated. this should be a warning to girls who don't consider their safety at all times. The people we come into contact are potentially dangerous. This is the Exact reason I don't meet customers, give contact info, or give a real frame of reference as to where I live.
The worst part is it wasn't someone she just gave her personal info to, it was an ex-boyfriend if i'm not mistaken, which is somehow all the more awful.Originally Posted by bambiblue

They know that a woman's reputation can be used against her in the court of public opinion, and even the court of law. The "she was asking for it/ she put herself in that situation" line....
What's worse is if you're dead, no one can defend you.
So.....don't be dumb, don't date thuggy types, and keep something else going on in your life besides dancing. I know the day will come when people believe we're dancing for the money and not anything else.....just not anytime soon.

This girl used to work at my club.......everybody is devistated and shocked.
wow.. i can't believe they now think she is dead! that is so sad.... thanks for posting the wash.post article.
i hope they really charge the guys and that they serve life...
her poor family

New update from today's washington post. These guys were apparently her bodyguards, at least for a time, and they turned around the killed her. Fuckers.
Charges Detailed in Case of Missing Md. Dancer

The two men charged in the death of a Rockville exotic dancer returned to Emily Cagal's apartment hours after the slaying to clean up bloodstains and loot the place before hauling off a wicker footlocker containing the woman's body, court documents filed yesterday allege.
Surveillance cameras in the apartment building on Grosvenor Place recorded two men carrying the partially open footlocker to a service elevator. Its contents were draped in a maroon blanket that outlined an object conforming "to the shape of a bent knee or other human body part," and the men loaded it into a vehicle resembling her sport-utility vehicle, charging documents show.
Antoine L. Gatewood, left, and Dion D. Desir are charged in Cagal's slaying. The men are Cagal's former bodyguards, documents show.
Montgomery police found the woman's black 2005 Acura MDX in Northeast Washington last week, but they have not found a body.
Antoine L. Gatewood, 33, of Largo, who has faced murder charges before, was arraigned yesterday on a first-degree murder charge and was being held without bond in the Montgomery County Detention Center. His roommate, Dion D. Desir, 24, was being held on $1 million bail and is awaiting arraignment today on a charge of accessory to murder after the fact. The men are Cagal's former bodyguards, and Gatewood is a former boyfriend.
The charges against Desir are based partly on incriminating comments he made to a family member about his presence "on the scene after Cagal's death" while in custody at police headquarters, documents said.
State's Attorney Douglas F. Gansler said that while he is pleased that no bond was set for Gatewood, he and investigators feel "a great sense of urgency."
"What we're not pleased about is a 24-year-old woman has been murdered and her body has not been recovered," Gansler said.
Law enforcement officials declined to provide details about whether Cagal's work brought her into contact with Gatewood.
"Whatever it was that she did, she didn't deserve to get murdered," Gansler said. "I can say that what she did for a living may perhaps be relevant in that it may provide an answer to their preexisting relationship."
Cagal was last heard from when she called her building's desk clerk the morning of March 2, and she was last seen about 3 p.m. that afternoon on the surveillance video, accompanied by Gatewood.
Two days later, a close friend of Cagal's who knew she had not taken a planned trip to Miami went to Cagal's apartment, court documents show. The friend, who had a key, entered the unit, saw blood and Cagal's unattended dog and called in a missing-person report, the documents show.
Gatewood's attorney declined to discuss his client's history or relationship with Cagal and said the state lacked probable cause in bringing the case against his client.
"The evidence seems to be very thin," lawyer Steven D. Kupferberg said. "I don't think it's very specific."
Gansler said the evidence is there. "We have evidence that the defendants were at the scene," he said. "There was substantial blood found in her apartment. She is still missing. And the defendants were seen in her car."
John McCarthy, the deputy state's attorney assigned to the case, prosecuted a 1980s murder case that was the first in Maryland in which a conviction was achieved without a body.
Law enforcement officials visited Cagal's family and friends last week. "They were told to be prepared, to expect the worst," said Capt. Nancy Demme of the major crimes division.
This is very saddening. As soon as the footlocker was first mentioned (I think I read it a few days ago), I felt they had killed her and she was in there. I still hoped it'd turn out differently, though.
It's a damn shame.
I hope that at least they will find her remains, so that her family can put her to rest.

This is so crazy... how can they say evidence is thin when they were taking stuff out of her apartment?? I'd really like to hear what story these guys are saying as to what they were doing if they weren't killing her....

Defense attorneys always bluff. I think this one is counting on the "a woman of ill repute could have many parties interested in harming her" angle. I bet the defendant's family put up a large sum of money to pay the lawyer...so he started out on the ball.
