I was so happy to see the very very dirty face and crumpled whiskers of a stray cat being pulled from my furnace ducts after 4 days of trying to get her out!! Ohh Thank You GOD!!
I did not know if she was alive, hurt or worse! But I did know that each day that passed meant another without food or water. You see the house I use to live in was sold. And under that house was living a couple of stray cats. Now it came to pass that the new owners wanted to tent and fumigate the house. The realtor could not care less about the cats and could not contact the new owners. So they (the cats) were caught, neutered and 1 was put upstairs in my bathroom for recovery. Darn if the lil minx didn't pull the grate off the heating duct and shimmy down into the walls! And even though a towel was fed down the duct for her to climb back up, and the tub filled with tuna, she could not or just plain refused to climb back. Ohh GOD! I have been a wreck!
But a lil saw, a lot of noise, and a well positioned cage finally did the trick! She is out, has water and food, and is doing fine.
