Default ? how to get flawlessly curled hair with an iron

    All Right, Girls.

I've got a date!!! F'king finally, I tell ya. My question is about curling hair. Do ya'll have any good tips? My hair is shoulder length and straight, and I just bought a cheap wide curling iron. I want a lot of volume. I tried to find some pictures of examples with how to's.

I'll figure it out, but I thought I might post to see if there's any tricks that might look really good.

Well, I have naturally curly hair...but:

Spritz the hair lightly with hair spray
    Curl all of your hair
    Spritz again with hair spray
    Let your hair cool completely
    Finger comb
    Finish spritz

    Hope that helps a bit!

I usually section my hair kinda like if i'm gonna blow dry it straight and do the curls like that in small sections. Be sure to use hair spray cause my curls will uncurl throughout the day if not sprayed with hair spray. Alot of times when i'm curling it also it may look like i'm doing it wrong but just do it to your whole head regardless and see what the results are.

use different amounts of hair each time you curl it to get a fuller look .. if they are all the same amounts of hair then you might end up looking liek shirley temple also you might want to get 2 different size curling irons so that you have a more natural look ... make sure u use hairspray but not too much cuz it will weigh your hair down ! hope that helps...

well depends what u wanna do - what i do is those big tousled waves that are slightly messy - the bedroom hair look, i love that. take dry hair, then use about 1-2 inch sections with a big barrel curing iron (i have 1.5 in) and start in the middle of the strand of hair, clasp it there, wrap it to the root (not too close) then with the rest of the hair, wrap it around the curling iron outside of teh clasp. after each curl, mist hair spray (not too much, a very light spray) then move on repeat all over head. then when youa re done, take some styling cream or wax-mousse (i have moonshine by wella hair) rub it all in ur palms & fingers, then runyour fingers all through the curls, brushing them out. this is what gives it that messy/sexy look. then flip your hair over, spray a light mist of hairspray (make sure its aerosol, the sebastian one is great), then you are ready to go!
