I don't know if this has been covered before, but I did this last week and am just curious as to the proper etiquette. When you arrive at a club and want to know/see your fave dancer, and another dancer approaches you, is it ok to ask her if your fave is there, and/or for her to get the fave for you? I asked a dancer last week if my fave was there, and before the dancer left, I tipped her $4. Is that enough compensation? What would you consider enough? Do you get offended if a custy asks you to retrieve a different dancer for you?

Generally I only ask dancers who I am friendly with if I'm looking for a particular dancer. They generally do a better job of finding them for you than the wait staff. After she's done with her dances, I ask her to send her friend back out to me and get some dances from her too. If you're just getting information from another dancer, I don't think it would be insulting to give her a tip of around $5.

Strip clubs operate on tips so I dont think you were out of line at all. Hell, if I go up to the bar to break a $20, I give the bartender a buck for his/her trouble.

The dancer who ran the "errand" hopefully wasn't offended. Since you were honed in on the other dancer in question, the 4 bucks is more than she would have gotten otherwise.

FBR is right. SC's are largely a tip-based institution. I don't do much of anything without handing out a gratuity. The guys who keep asking for ones from the bartender all night without tipping her are particularly annoying. I've had dancers go find my favs for me without me even asking but I always make it a point to tip that girl extra on stage and thank her. I'm a very patient guy but it's nice to know that someone has gone out of their way to be nice.

I will pretty much always find a girl for someone if they ask. You are there to have fun and if you want someone other than me, that's cool. I'd rather you say it up front than have me chat for 10 minutes and then tell me you're waiting for someone else. Also, I work day shift mostly. Alot of the guys that come in are on a schedule. They don't have time really to wait around and see if their fav. is there. I figure as long as someone is making money, it's all good!

Thank you for tipping something! I often do this for guys that ask, and most of them do not tip anything. I think $5 is an adequate tip, but I would not be insulted by anything less than that. Some girls may take it personally if you ask them for another girl, so the $5 will help smooth out any ruffled feathers.

If I ask, I will tip. If they ask me for a dance and I say, "I'm waiting for X," I'm not going to tip, even if they run to get X for me of their own volition. Generally, I think it's nice to tip if you impose on someone's space/time.

I would not be offended if a custy ask me if a fave is at the club. I also do not take it personally...no dancer should! I'll be more than happy to retrieve the fave in question! DSUsb19, there is NOTHING wrong with asking and tipping the informant.

If a dancer gets offended and leaves in a huff without letting you know whether or not you fave is dancing that night, then you know not to deal with her anymore.

I would gladly go get my best friend for free but I am there to make $$$. My time is just that. I think you should be tipping whatever 1 song would run you because the dancer will be losing that by going on a hunt. YeeHaw! for you tipping before being asked!
