    Default herbal mood boosters

    Does anyone have some suggestions for boosting your mood herbally? I like to feel happy but dont want to take any type of anti-depressants (not depressed btw ). Anything I can mix in with my daily diet would be great. I take Kava Kava but it makes me sleepy. I excersize too about 3-4 times a week now.

    LOL kava kava is suppose to relax and make you sleepy. Try drinking actual Kava and you'll get a buzz and super relaxed. For mood booster um... maybe St. John's Wort.

    I may have many faults, but being wrong ain't one of them.

    Careful with St. Johns Wort if you are on the Pill. It decreases it's effectiveness. I'm doing some research on Sam-E. It is supposed to help elevate your mood. I haven't done much reading on it yet. When I get a chance to, I'll get back to you.

    5HTP is supposed to increase your serotonin thereby making you more happy. I have some I haven't taken it yet though b/c I wanted to make sure it wouldn't decrease the pills effectiveness.

    Eventhough Im currently no having sex but if/when I do I dont want it to effect it; also I dont wany any break through bleeding.
    LOL Muyaha I was wondering why I could never take Kava Kava during the day?? I didnt know it could make ya sleepy.

    That works if you take an assload of the pills after doing drugs. I took some the other night and I'm still pretty depressed.

    The herbs are supposed to work after you atke them in large amounts and for a few months.I tried St John's Wort and didn't see any difference (I'm not depressed but get feeling down sometimes),and it also says on the label that it increases sensitivity to light.I suppose you can get a sunburn after using it.
    Maybe it is different for different people.

    Oh.....whenever I feel stressed or down I work out a bit more,that always makes a huge difference.Running about 4 miles a day will cure any kind of bad mood,at least for me.
