Aloha Ladies, I have a question about rejection. This week is my D-week. I had set this week as my goal for getting back into dancing. But I have problems, I have not reached my goal weight, but the weight of my pocketbook is too light and I need to start soon. I'm 5'5" 160. I know it sounds heavy but when I danced in '97 I weighed 155's ish and was ripped. Now many years later my muscle definition is hardly there and I have a mini tummy pout
. Anyway I'm really concerned about being rejected from a club. I have it all set in my mind how I intend to approach a manager and ask for a chance to audition. I know that with time dancing I will shed the weight. But I am concerned with now and just getting a chance to work. If I do get rejected, should I go back to the same club again when I have reached my goal? And if the manager does spit some BS line about how they have too many girls, does that mean something else like "Uh yeah youre not worth my time so go home"? And normally does one get hired on the spot or a call back (I remember my first amateur night where I had to split the $500 prize with another girl due to a tie by the audience, after the contest all of the amateur girls were given a chance to work there). I do have several clubs in mind to audition at. I would do the "audition night" thing but the advertised ones are only for the 18 and up full nude clubs, been there, done that. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. BTW I am in the SF Bay Area and am set on a few clubs in San Francisco and San Jose areas. PS Sorry it so long, Mahalo for being patient.
