    Default ready for something better

I think I am finally ready to try dancing at another club but where I live I would have to drive About 3-4 hrs. to dance in a bigger city .I'm very unhappy where I am now and dread every day that I go in.Not to mention the money keeps getting worse. So I was wondering how far do you drive to go to work? And how many days a week?Do you stay in a hotel or drive back home every night?

It took me about 30 minutes each way. There were plenty of girls who lived in Wisconsin and Michigan who would make the drive in each week for x amount of days...get a hotel and work their ass off for the time they were there.

If the money at another club is better...and you factor in commute and hotel stay and meals, then make the drive. However, some girls make the mistake thinking they are making more money by driving way out far to another club and by the time they deduct all travel expenses, etc...they are coming home with the same amount of money.

I always think it's a good idea to go at least once, so if it suck you know not to go back, and if it's good it could be like a once-in-a-while type thing. The club I finally settled down is about 30 mins from me, and even though it's a long drive it's wayyyy worth it in the money I make.

right now, i drive about 30 min each way to the club i work at. there are plenty of clubs closer to me (i live in manhattan) but i'm not ready to work at one of those yet so i still drive to brooklyn. sometimes, when i'm upstate with my family, i'll drive for almost 2 hours each way to get there on a saturday night.

i don't know how you handle driving at night, but make sure that you'll be able to drive for a few hours at 4 or 5 am (if you work the night shift). i hate to admit it, but i've fallen asleep many times at the wheel and have nearly crashed b/c i can't drive at 4 am to go home, yet i still do it so i've resorted to sleeping on the side of the road sometimes (which is dangerous too). if you can do it, and the money is well worth it, then do it!

When I used to live in San Diego,I would drive to Vegas to work. The clubs in SD sucked too bad,so I opted to try another city.It was worth it.It's kind of a crap shoot though. You'll either like it or hate it.Sometimes change is just what you need.I have since returned to New Orleans and drive approximately 35-40 minutes to work. The commute is therapeutic. It relieves stress before I arrive back home.As for drives that are at least 2-3 hours one way,a hotel stay is recommended.

There is a real cool Cajun chick that drives 5 hours from N. Louisiana to come work at my small club. She stays at a cheap motel for 2 weeks to a month, but she makes good money and like everyone else, she loves our club.

My commute takes me 1 hour 10 min-2 hours depending on traffic. If I was able to work three days in a row, I'd stay at a motel because the drive home at 4:30am is really rough.

I used to drive about 35 minutes in Atlanta - basically because I did not want to work too close to home. Sometimes the drive home would be really miserable at 4:30 am.

I work on the road totally. I work bookings in the Upper Midwest and Montana in smaller town clubs where a set amount of girls, usually 4-6 are booked in advance to work from 5-1 or 2 Monday - Saturday and paid a base pay of $300-$400 for the week on top of in club earnings.

Girls that live in cities 50-100 miles away usually drive home every night and the rest of us get a weekly rate motel on Monday afternoon. I stay booked out several weeks in a row lots of times and go on to the next club that I have booked in advance the next week. The drive varies from 200-300 miles to 700 if I am going from the Midwest to Montana. The money is more predictable working like this since there is not as much competition working like this. I I had to stay in one club in the city my earnings would be 1/2 of what Imake now.

Just keep your options open. One girl I work with takes her two birds with her, her pillows and sheets as well as a microwave and combo ice chest and refrigerator. I travel with a microwave and big ice chest and try to live as much as at home as possible.

When I first started, I didn't want to dance in the town I live in, so I went as far away as I could...drove 4-5 hours one way, only on weekends. I was at a low-scale type club, so didn't make much money...especially after gas and hotel and food.....BUT it was worth it for the experience. I did that for a month or two...now I dance here at home and only drive 15-20 minutes. It all depends on how well you'll like the club, and the money you'll be making.

I drive two hours to work in another city; I will go for four or five days and stay in an extended stay motel. Some girls drive home, but I could not get anything else done if I had to drive four hours a day; not to mention the gas costs would get old really fast.

Yea I used to drive to Reno from Sacramento...about a 2hr drive in my put-put. Some weekends were great others not to great...the not so great ones were purely my attitude...but overall it was worth it to take a mini trip to work somewhere new and refreshing.
One time I did drive home at 11pm after a 12hr shift there.....damn I will never do that again! It was very dark the way home and almost no one was out there. I almost fell asleep on the road............very scary; stay in a hotel if you can for your safety.
