I usually wear MAC. The shades I have look rather silly with my red clothes. Any suggestions?

Try deep burgundies or berries.

I disagree with the above. I think nothing looks worse than matchy-matchy-eyeshadow the same color as your clothes. When I think red, I think retro, Marilyn Monroe. How about an Ivory shimmery shadow as a base all over the eyelid, perhaps a little taupe in the crease for contour, and either dark brown or black liquid eyeliner winged out at the end (on top lids only), and red lipstick?

It depends on the type of red.

I think warmer reds = browns, taupes
cooler reds = white, greys (I like the glamour, liquid eyeliner idea)
Sometimes I wear lavender eyeshadow with my red dress - it seems to work with my light brown hair.
I'm confused, but the Chewbacca Truffle Shuffle cleared it up. - Emily

My favorite go-with anything makeup:
Red lipstick
Black eyeliner and mascara
Gold shimmery shadow
You will probably want to add a darker brown for contour in the club and maybe a darker lipstick than your day one (the lights totally make my day red lipstick disappear!) but this combo works great for me, is fast and easy to apply, and goes with almost everything!

WHEN I WEAR ANY RED CLOTHING I ,GO WITH A NUDE EYESHADOW AND PINKY-BEIGE LIPSTICK/GLOSS. YOU CAN GO WITH LESS MAKEUP BECAUSE THE COLOR RED WAKES UP ANYONES FACE.![]()
Yes, agree with exoticxx.
If you want more color on your eyes when you wear red...go with Silver base and then use black/brown.
Using red shadow when you're wearing red clothes kinda goes for an "over-killed" look.
Red shadows, usually, tend to look better when used with grey/black/white style clothing...
