    Default Working under the tabel

    Hey there!

I'm so excited about this website - wish there was something like this back when I started dancing! I've been retired now for seven years (got into the dancing when I was young). I've been thinking lately of getting back into it "part-time" so I can finance a mortgage. What I want is to find a good club or clubs outside my area (don't want family to know I'm dancing, they would not understand, and I successfully kept my secret last time). Years ago, I used to travel to Florida to dance, made good money, would come back to Canada and lead my "civilian life" What I'm looking for is a similar situation - places I can work where I won't have to get a stipping license or have a club make photocopies of my ID. I'm Canadian, but I'm also an actress and don't want any paper trail left that will tie me to stipping when and if I make it in the acting world. I live in Vancouver now, so Washington, Los Angeles, Nevada, are all logical places to dance, but I think some cities require licenses.

Can anyone suggest any hints for good places to work in the States (or Canada) or elsewhere where I won't have to fill out papers or have a permit? What about Guam?

    Your help is appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Dreamcat

Well. The first club I ever worked at didnt turn the girls in, so they made all their money under the table. I LOVED that. It was in Alaska, and it was one of the three clubs in the city. It wasnt very big, could have even been a hole in the wall club, BUT mgt was great and the customers didnt get grabby, you could work when you liked, ect. I really liked it.

Its called The Spot..its in Fairbanks, on Cushman Ave. Its right there close to Reflections. Showboat is also in Fairbanks, and its a good place to go, cept for the fees. The mgr is Tracy, shes not very nice though. I used to bounce back and forth between the clubs. But if you are looking to work during the summer, The Spot is a great place to go. Like I said, its more of a hole in the wall, but I loved it. Alaska is beautiful in the summers too. I loved living there.

Oregon doesn't take any of your info - or require a permit. You could try Portland, but Alaska sounds like a good idea.

Np. I really loved the club I worked at, theres a military post nearby, so youll have business, not to mention the fishermen and oil rig worker guys that come in. Id say go for Alaska!

    Australia !

I've known plenty of places to accept plenty of 'international' dancers with nothing but ID to verify their age (legality).

A little far off and our dollar may not be as strong as yours....

Otherwise, I was told quite awhile back that Austin Texas was a decent place to try... same with Dallas... as they seem to not ask for too much in the way of documentation.

Thanks, Gold Coast Girl, I'm really loving how helpful everyone is being. I wouldn't mind combining my work and some travelling too. What is the dancing like in Australia, in general? 'Bout the same as here, lapdancing, etc.? I know that's sort of a general question, and I will do some research on the Aussie clubs board, but let me know if you have any clubs you really enjoyed being at.
    Thanks!
