    Default Beutiful dancers over 30

Hi girls, I see soo many beautiful dancers who are over 30 and look HOT. Beautiful skin, NO wrinkles, perfect body’s.

I know they workout, don’t smoke, drink water, balanced meals etc..

My question is, how do you keep your skin (face) looking so fresh?

Has anyone tried Botox, facial peels, micro dermabrasion (not sure of spelling lol)

How do they look soo young? Pleeease share your secrets and recommendations !

Well, she wasn't a dancer but I knew a lady who was in her late 30's and had beautiful skin and she said she'd had microdermabrasian done.

I can't say i've had any work done as of yet. I think i've held up well, all things considered. I attribute it mainly to good genes though!

Keeping hydrated and getting facials is what I do. I don't do any of the microdermabrasion done (or anything like it)...I read somewhere that it's NOT good for the skin, so I've avoided it.

I also use Dove face cleanser and moisturizer. Any type of face wash used to dry the hell out of my face...Dove doesn't...it's much more gentle.

Never sleep with your make-up on...

Renova, peels from makeupartistschoice.com, plenty of sleep and keeping hydrated. After that I think I just have good genes.

Venus, you bring up a really good point. I think lots of women in their 30's think they need to do all sorts of harsh things (i.e., microdermabrasion) to keep their skin looking good. My dermatologist said microdermabrasion and retin-A is really for women over 40, it's too stressful on younger sking. She recommended glycolic peels and most importantly, sun screen. I never step foot out of the house without sun screen on my face (but I live in AZ so the sun is extremely strong here).

I'm 34 but got carded last week.

I think i've held up well, all things considered.
    I'll second that opinion.

From a custy's perspective, my favorite dancers over 30 all seem to share some basic traits:

    --They don't smoke

    --They don't tan

--They drink in moderation, if at all

--They stay fit via either exercise and/or intelligent dietary lifestyle regimen

I don't think it's a PhD-requirement to look good over 30, just that so many women--not just dancers--aren't cognizant of how their behavior in their 20s affects their bodies through the rest of their lives, and then somehow express shock when stuff doesn't seem to look the same anymore.

    Two cents.
Idealism is fine, but as it approaches reality, the costs become prohibitive.

I'm all about sheer neglect, lol. I am abit of a health freak when it comes to food and vitamins etc and I don't smoke but that's about it.

I'm with Venus on the Dove products. Since I've started using them and drinking lots of water and taking multivitamins and I've noticed my skin is a lot happier. Next thing for me is quitting the smoking habit. I have stopped tanning as of late and I am going to look for a thread on sunless tanning. My mother was really into the face peels and plastic surgery and it seemed to become an addiction to her. My way is going to be grow old gracefully and just try to live as healthy of a lifestyle as possible.

i'm scared to do any of that, but my advice would be to moisturize! trust me, it makes a big difference.
