Dolly, thanks for posting the pretty pics, their hair looks great!

Tampafldancer, here are a few other products which work for me...

    L'Oreal Springing Curls mousse
    or
John Frieda Beach Blonde spray (yummy-smelling salt water texturizer)

You have to use them on almost dripping wet hair. Comb through, then twist small sections of hair (kind of like dreadlocks). I usually do about 10 around my head. Gently scrunch the roots to add volume, then air dry (about 2 hours). Once dry/almost dry, you can finger comb through. It's a really quick, easy way to add pretty curls without frizzies. It looks like the Curl Talk picture above.

I have naturally wavy hair, so I'm not sure about the results on straight hair.

    Good luck!

My hair is thisk and straight and it doesn't work on mine. I soooo wish it did. I suspect that someone with less thick hair could work it, tho.

The quickest easiest way to give your hair curls is to section it out 3/4 inch spray section with hair spray
use a large curling irong and curl
after you take the curling iron out let it cool and spray again. use good hair spray
do one section at a time it really won't take you long once you know how to do it. at first it seems like forever

it you curl your hair when wet use large rollers and silver clips not bobby pins they cause your hair to crimp

be sure to use hair spray and to not comb through until your hair is completely dry if you use curlers it will look different than if you use a curling iron.

i like the curling iron better because I take the dampness out of my hair first then let it dry
then i section it off use hairspray use iron then spray again

be sure you use hair spray that does not flake and try to to get build up of hair spray on you scalp it will flake and a buildup of cheap spray will dry out your hair.
always use a spray shine afterwards i use Biologe shine
to give your hair texture and shine use the brand Texture shine
this is a wax and you can lift your roots with it to give you extra lift and body

...Wash your hair as usual and towel dry so that the hair is damp. Spritz the hair with a "curl activator" which can be found at any drug store. Then, take a handful of hair, squeeze it firmly in your palm and apply heat with the blowdryer. Continue "finger waving" sections of hair until you have created soft, tumbling waves all over. Finish with a "flexible hold" spray that will keep your hail styled, but not heavy or sticky. Also, spraying directly at the roots with create and maintain volume.

TIP: Make sure that hair does not appear greasy or crinkly, (like I've seen much too often). The point is for the hair to appear natural, toussled, inviting, and sensually messy...like this:

Hope this helps...works for ME anyway

Ha! My hair is naturally curly and this method would be a really stupid idea for me. But for slightly wavy or straight hair, seems great. I love the pics! Especially the dark-haired girl's. Very pretty.

Your hair sounds like my hair Muyaha. Mine is curly, poofy, and not so thick anymore.

    I have to straighten it
then make it flat (w/ a hankerchief for 10 mins at least)
then curl it w/ a large barrel curling iron to get glam hair.
To make it stay I use regular ol cheap hair spray like Suave or something.
That helps it stay but my hair gets nasty fast after a few days.
