Default Losing Weight isn't Always Good

Today at work I really noticed that I have lost a good deal of muscle mass and some weight. Since the breakup, its been hard to get out of bed, especially for a workout or a decent meal. I've also been participating in activities that cause appetite suppression, vomiting later, or a combination of both........

My usually magnificent breasts are just blah, they seem to be a B cup at the moment, not their full C. My lower tummy and my ass are just hanging there with no fat or muscle to fill them up and round them out. I'd rather have my tummy stick out a little from muscle and a little fat than just skin.

Of course, money was good, as I know how to work it, but it was depressing to see myself in the bright light. Also, celllulite seems more apparent when you lose weight quickly this way.

SO......ladies, if you want to lose weight, do it the right way, sloooooooowly. Give the skin time to re-elastisize through eating lots of good food, aerobic work, AND muscle training for definition.

Sure I looked skinny, my pants were all baggy, but I felt like a crack ho (and its only like 4-5 pounds lighter, maybe less!)

    Thanks for letting me share.

I suggest trying yoga or some low-impact exercise (swimming, biking) to ease back into fitness and also help with feelings of depression. There is a meditation aspect/ mind-quieting effect to those activities.
Or you could buy a punching bag and go the other way about it.

I hear ya Katrine. Since my break up I've lost 14 lbs. What scares me though is how I still see myself the exact same as before so I want to lose even more...the only reason I KNOW I've lost weight is because of the scale.

ive been told to get some protein stuff, that makes you gain muscle, and thereby looking a bit healther.

try st johns wort if you can ( some people cant take this for various reasons, check first) that will calm you down, make you not think so much of using "appetite supressions" and get some 5-HTP beofre you get to sleep to recharge that seritonin you migth be losing...

    be happy babe

Awww sweetie dont let it get ya down that bad. Break up suck @ss...but youll get outta it. At least you were making money.

Sounds like you need some serious pampering...go ahead treat yourself even if its a lil bad. Eat some really good chocolate and get some bath salts and just marinate in the tub for a hour or so. Thats what I do when I feel like crap. But, I put down the chocolate after that day.

Youll get yourself back together...be strong as you always are hun. I agree with Mermaidz get some protein shakes or something much healthier than the other stuff...just to start off. If its sunny over there...lay in the sun for awhile that helps you artifically feel happy.

I'm sorry Kat. My roomate is going through the same thing right now. As for weight gain, get some Ensure Plus shakes. They have concentrated calories, and are nutritious as well. Take TM's bath advice. I've been supremely stressed out lately to the point that my back and shoulder are knotted and achy. The athletic trainer made me sit in the hot whirlpool and I felt a lot better. Get some bath salts and a good movie. Talk to people who make you smile. I hope you come out of it, you deserve greatness.

I've gained weight after getting dumped by a guy that I thought was my soul mate and it was awful. I guess I do the opposite, I just want to eat. If you can get to work out though it will probably improve your mood if you just make yourself do it.

Katrine, I know what you mean about looking like a crack ho lol.. I lost 15 pounds during my break up!! NASTY !!

It took me a few months to get myself back… Allot of people were telling me I looked great so skinny.. I though it was just wrong!!

I‘m still trying to put 5 pounds back on..

! agree with Bunny, I work out at home now... I feel revitalized every time and it keeps my mind of the BS of daily ish.

I just went and ate a couple of beef ribs with the folks......hopefully that will get things moving again!! They already planned a picnic at the park with me tomorrow......I like eating with them.....if my mouth is full I can avoid answering their questions about my job........
