Default Letting a client go behind the bar?

Alright this may sound silly but i thought it was would be a good topic nonetheless.Alright so i've been a regular at my favorite club, which is also my favorite place to just hang out,for a while now and recently the barmaid has called me to go behind the bar with her.So i've been talking to her for a while but still it seems to me that no client has any business to go there.I'm friends with manager of the day shift, the said-barmaid and a few of the dancers but i never used any of these friendships to my advantage since it's not in my nature to take people for granted.

It would be easy for someone else to get the idea that many clients are just allowed to go over there without it being a problem. Not that i'm complaining about this but i just find it odd.

Actually i've been thinking about possibly becoming a DJ there...well if there's an opening of course. However i wonder what a DJ does there as i'm sure he doesn't just stand there spinning tracks.I'm curious to find out.

Other options could include working as a doorman (not so sure about that one though) or a bus boy but i'd only come in during the weekends since i already have a full time job.

Well, I've actually seen this happen a few times, but it is only with certain "regulars" of the club.
I guess if she says it's okay you can do it. Who knows? The most that will happen is you'll be asked to move, I doubt they'll even be rude to you if you explain what happened.

Well so far there's no problem...naturally there would be if i'd just go behind the bar because i felt like it.One thing i forgot to mention is my friends work mostly during the day shift which means there's not as many clients inside the establishment.

Therefore,it's easier to talk to the staff as they're not in a big rush most of the time (well it's not the case there) and to get to know them.I like to think that i gained the trust of a big chunk of the people i met which is cool.
